Hello. I am writing to try and find information on Pineal Cysts so that I am better informed when I go to the doctor tomorrow. Here's my history

I'm 27yo female, and I have had the same symptoms as most of the people who have posted on this board. I have migraine headaches, fatigue, muscle cramping and weakness, and now, numbness of my arms and sometimes face. I recently had an episode that was believed to be a stroke (i.e. numbness in my hand, then face and lips, difficulty speaking and focusing thoughts, watery vision in one eye). I went to the family doctor, and I was sent to get an MRI. The MRI revealed that I had an abnormally large pineal cyst, and I am scheduled to talk to a doctor tomorrow.

What are the possible outcomes of surgery? How difficult is the procedure and what are the risks? How hard is it to get the surgery scheduled? How long is the recovery? What are some home management ideas that we can try?

We have insurance, but we're not sure how much it will cost. Any ideas to a ballpark figure? We're college students and not exactly financially prepared for brain surgery.

We are really looking for ANY information you can provide. Thank you for reading this post.
