Hello, good people. My friend has been diagnosed with sinus cancer; however this is not the only problem that has been troubling him. He also has some neurological issues. I would like to know if these two entities are linked in any case. I hope someone will help me with this. I will appreciate it.

Hi, there. Cancer of paranasal cavities can be long without any symptom. However, usually people complain on the nasal obstruction. Pain in sinuses is also usual. I guess if tumor spreads on nearby cranial nerves, there can be neurological symptoms. Don’t forget that trigeminal nerve passes nearby. I am not sure about the facial nerve. Paranasal cavities also communicate with the brain, so I guess cancer can spread in that direction. You should consult an expert about this since I am not an expert. Bye!
