Hello, I am 47 years old and I since my father had diabetes for two decades before he passed away, I have tried everything to prevent the same thing happening to me. Unfortunately, no medication or diet helped me for diabetes prevention, must I use insulin? What is the difference between diabetes type 1 and 2?

Well, I suppose that you have already been diagnosed, and that you suffer from either type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The treatment for type 2 in the beginning would include strict diet to manage low blood sugar level (in this type of diabetes, insulin is not produced in amount big enough or it is not used properly). If it is type 1, there is no insulin in the body to talk about so it has to be taken.
