They are all liars! The butchers at Clark Urology, said the same thing after having to perform the TURP twice because they messed up so badly the first time and sent me home too soon. I have not contacted Cedar Sinai and won't since you tell me it will be of no avail. As you will see below, there are corrective procedures, one of which is summarized below. There are others as well. I am no surgeon but one sounds as simple as an injection of collagen into the bladder neck.

I searched surgical correction of post-TURP retrograde ejaculation and got many hits. I suggest you do the same. The hard part seems to be finding a doctor to perform it. If you find one, please let me know.
Good Luck,

Danny

Lucky you. Some of us are not that lucky to have their normal sex life returned, I had TURP done 2 yrs ago and before the surgery, I had to postpone the surgery 3 times because I wanted to clear from my so called Urologist that this surgery would not affect my ability to have kids and my sex life. He assured me that after 2 wks my sex life would be restored and that I can have as many kids as I want thru normal means. Well it is 2 yrs now, I now live with ED (erectile dysfunction) that no medication, including viagra could correct, PLUS I ALSO HAVE RETROGRADE EJACULATION NOW. He now claims that he warned me.He has ruined my engagement to my sweet heart, . How he could go home and sleep with this lie , surprises me. Why they are not being sued collectively surprises me.

For people who haven't had prostate surgery, yoy should consider Urolift as it does not cause retrograde ejaculation!!!

To Anonymous above (The lady) Thank you for your input, I totally agree with what your saying. I was on Flomax for a year (relaxes the muscle at the bladder neck) and I had the same issues with ejaculation, at the time it made me very frustrated. A lot of men see the act of coming as the organs, but its not. There is a tingling, very satisfying feeling that happens just before you actually ejaculate that is the organs. It doesn't last very long and its the kind of feeling that you wished would continue. For me it has made me more aware of the difference between an orgasm and ejaculation. I have an enlarged prostrate I am 52, I have been in a big stress about this op and have been putting it off and off. If I don't get this done in the near future I will no longer be able to pass urine, my kidneys will become infected and I will die from kidney failure. It is a very big deal for a man and i do go into this op with my eyes wide open. I try to concentrate on the orgasm and not the ejaculation. Maybe this will help someone with the healing process. At the end of the day, you have to think about the lesser of the two evils.

I had the thulium laser resection and RE sucks. It is not nearly the same and the man who did it is supposed to be the best in the business but he really downplayed this side effect and even tells me now it is irrelevant except to those trying to have a baby. I wish each doctor preforming it had it done to them first. They would be different. Yes, you can accept the fact that sex now sucks and call it good long enough and maybe you'll believe that hypnonis

I was supposed the have a green laser PVP technique that gave me a 67% chance of no retrograde ejac. The doc did something different w/out my knowledge that he would do so - thus retro for me. Likewise with the diminished pleasure post-turp w/retrograde ejaculation. Not No-pleasure, but about 50% less. Many docs just do not care about the quality of the patient's sex life. Have a MUCH better urologist now who has offered some things that help. Learned how to use the bulbocavernosis reflex to increase pleasure intensity. Also check out the Pelvic Rx pelvic floor exercise program. It also helps some. Neither restores antegrade ejac, but at least you can feel increased pleasure. A final option is the Viberect X3. Do recommended it as an option. Perhaps will try that too. Best of luck to all of you suffering with RE. Too bad more docs don't get what a terrible outcome this really is.

The pre-ejaculate comes the the cowpter's gland just below the prostate, NOT the prostate itself.

I am 83 AND HAD button TURP ten days ago. Had a catheter for one week. Previously my ejaculate would kind of ooze out. Yesterday, it shot out about a foot.

I had the surgery done about two months ago. He did tell me about no ejaculation before the surgery. So I understood. I just did not think it would affect me as much as it does. There is feeling when I do have an orgasm, but it’s just not the same without anything coming out. It does not seem like the orgasm is as good as it used to be.   I am hoping that time will heal, but from reading all these replies it does not sound like it will. I too would look forward to seeing information on how this could be corrected. I understand it was a blockage and it did help the urine stream immensely. I no longer take medicine for that  (Flomax), which I like.   The less pills I have to take,  the better. I just hope ejaculation issue can someday be corrected

Hi Easy does it ! :

I am in almost the exact situation you describe only I am just now on my 6th month after green light surgery. My doubt is in regard to the following: Did your first “normal” ejaculation (non RE Ejaculation) take place 18 months after the DAY you had your GL surgery done or was it 6 months or 12 months ? Because you wrote “sexual functions came back slowly over the past 6 months”…

Finally, is it possible your fortunate case was possible because the “gland” or “valve” which in some GL surgery is affected in your case was spared ? Thanks in advance for your reply.
