Hi,
I was just a little worried. I had the contraceptive impant inserted about a year and a half ago and have always had quite regular periods considering what others have said. Thing is, since I came out of my long term relationship I havn't had a period. I might have had a very small period since, but can't quite remember weather this was during my relationship or after. I did a pregnancy test a few weeks ago and it tested negative, but now Im worried weather I didnt leave it long enough. Plus I've put on quite a bit of weight recently. But then again I havnt exactly been watching what I eat. I just wanted your opinion on this really, because I'm beginning to get a little worried! Is it normal for fairly regular periods to stop completely when on the implant? and what are the chances of me being pregnant? Help!!! Thanks!!

I think that it's possible that the stress of being out of the relationship is what's causing you to skip a period or two. I'm not sure if you were aware of it but stress can cause you to skip a period and plus you're probably gaining weight because of the stress of the relationship too. I don't think that you're pregnant but for peace of mind, please take another test just so you can move past the anxiety of it in your mind. Keep us posted, okay?
