Don't starve yourself. If your hungry eat, just know this as long as you burn more calories than you take in your gonna lose weight. 800 calories what is that? Like two sandwiches a day or something? Been there done that came out with a friggin kidney infection. Look just eat but maybe small portions, and go for a walk or a run everyday. You'll lose weight dear. There's no way you won't.

I've been eating anywhere from 300 - 800 per day and I've lost weight so I don't know. I'm quite young, though.

Very interesting article with some well-written facts. It's a fact that many people do not know the right or healthiest way to lose weight. When attempting to lose weight most people want to lose it "fast". The thing is losing weight fast is harmful to your body. not true tho :) you can manage it step by step .. yes you will gain if you start eating at once but you have to start small and shift the diet shake with real breakfast and go on like that for a month before u can eat without gaining weight again.

If you want to lose the weight by eating 800 calories a day stick to high protein foods and fruit/vegtables and foods rich in fiber don't eat carbs!

If you're sticking to an 800 cal/day diet your main priority is protein so your body is still building/healing muscle. Second important nutrients are good fats (nuts, olives, etc.). If your body isn't satisfied with a small portion of proteins & good fats, add some good carbs like broccoli, celery, green beans, etc.

Yes it would seem so, however definitely not true for the unfortunate some. I weigh between 183 and 191, I could never eat that amount of calories x10 or I would continue to balloon. I am not saying I'm typical, but I have been searching for reasons of why this has been happening to me(a former tiny, thin, petite woman) who is now morbidly obese. I currently eat between 800-1600 calories a day(very very meticulously calculated/portions weighed). And I still maintain this loathsome weight. :(

I think so because I've had the same problem and come to the conclusion my body doesn't handle starches well anymore going to make an appointment with a metabolic specialist soon to see what I can do if there is an unmasked health problem
