Im a 12 year old girl and i need help to lose weight. I'm 5'9 and 140 lbs. im obese. i've tried exercising for about three weeks and eating healthier at the same time. no pounds were shead. then i drank water instead of soda or juice that made a little difference i lost 3 pounds, then i gained it back. help!

When you lose weight and exercise, the muscle you gain replaces the fat lost. Also, muscle weighs more than fat. You are toning your body and you will experience inches lost versus weight lost and this is MUCH healthier anyways.

BTW, you are not obese you are at a healthy weight for your height. You just need maintenance exercising and portion control when eating.

Someone told me that if you take a pure cold bath for 15-30 min and lower your body temp, your body burns around 200 cals for every degree it has to raise itself to reach a normal body temperature. This person tried it, a 30 min bath lowered their temp about 3-4 degree.
