39 year-old male with a 4 month history of vomiting, biparietal headache, and mental sluggishness. Has visuospatial disorientation, gets lost around the house, can add serial 7s only up to 42; still coherent and has good judgement.

With broad-based gait, motion tremors, no weakness, no facial asymmetry. Essentially normal systemic findings; has no significant co-morbids.

By cranial CT-scan, has non-communicating hydrocephalus but no evidence of infarct, AVM, tumor or bleed. Sulci are effaced.

Had a history of childhood measles; works as a television technician; non-smoker, but with occasional alcohol intake.

What is the most plausible diagnosis? Differentials? Suggested management?

thanks
