Our daughter is 14 and being baptized next month on Easter.She has her cute,puffy dress and bonnet with the lace anklets and shoes.She chose to wear a disposable diaper under her dress with rubberpants over it,so i have to order the rubberpants yet.

I don't understand the diaper thing for this. If I'm going to dragged through a tub full of water I surely wouldn't want to be wearing a soaking wet diaper afterwards. I'd prefer not wearing anything under there. Wet skin is not uncomfortable and it dries quickly if you don't hold a wet sponge against it.
Seems to me to be about the most degrading thing she could forced to do.

To njoynlife-The baptisms are done with pouring water on the head,not by immersion! The preteen and teen girls wear the poofy white dresses and bonnets with either white tights or lace anklets and the white shoes and the under shirt with the cloth diaper and rubberpants to symbolize their purity of an infant upon entering gods kingdom.

Well I WAS an infant when I got baptized but doing it at her age I see no reason to make it so degrading. It's supposed to be a good thing like when they baptized Jesse Taylor.

Our daughter is 16 and very much virgin.She is going to finially be baptized next month at Easter vigil.She all ready has her cute,poofy,short sleeve baptism dress and matching bonnet,tights and white patent leather shoes.She made her diaper by sewing a package of cloth baby diapers together to make the one diaper and has the white plastic pants to go over it.She has to get her white under shirt yet.She is excited about being baptized and being pure and innocent before God.

I attended Easter vigil this past weekend and saw all of the tween and teen girls in their cute,white,puffy,baptism dresses and bonnets and since the temperture was in the upper 70s,they all had the lace anklets with their dresses.The teen girls all looked very cute and pure in their outfits,but i wondered how many were actually virgins.

Our daughter is 16 and she was finially baptized this past Easter sunday at Easter mass and like all of the other preteen and teen girls baptized with her,wore the puffy,white,short sleeve,top of the knees baptism dress and matching bonnet with white tights and white mary jane shoes.She had the white tee shirt as her top under her dress with the cloth diaper and adult size white rubberpants under her tights.She looked very nice and very pure and innocent for her baptism!

Our 13 year old daughter just made her First Holy Communion this past sunday,May 2,2021 in the 2nd grade class of 2021.Just tlike all of the little girls in her class,she had to wear the poofy,knee length,short sleeve communion dress and veil with a white under shirt,cloth diaper,rubberpants,white tights and the white mary jane style shoes.I sewed a package of ten cloth diapers together to make her diaper,and got teen size rubberpants to go over it.Her tee shirt had to be tucked into the waist of the tights.I loved dressing her in the outfit!

To guest 17 days ago-Yes i helped her undress after it was over.I helped her take her dress and veil off,then her tights and shoes.I took her diaper off of her and had her wear the rubberpants and tee shirt under her clothes up untill bedtime.

Some friends of ours adopted a 14 year old girl two months ago and my husband and i are her god parents.They just had her baptized as an 'infant' this morning at mass to symbolize her newlife and starting over.She was dressed in a beautiful white,short sleeve,just below the knees,infant style gown and matching bonnet and had white lace anklets and white satin booties on her feet.Under her gown she had a white tee shirt with a thick cloth diaper with white rubberpants with ruffles across the back.She had a pacifier in her mouth during the ceremony.She looked very nice and pure like and infant in her outfit!

I am a girl,16,and one of my close friends,Amber,is catholic and just recieved her baptism last month on July 18th along with two other girls who were 14 and 15.Even tho Amber is not a virgin,her and the other two girls,were all dress in white,poofy,knee length,short sleeve baptism dresses with the matching bonnet,lace anklets and the white patent leather shoes.All three had a cloth diaper and plastic pants and tee shirt on under their dresses.Amber looked cute and baby like and told me that the outfits they wore are the traditional baptism outfits worn by the girls at their parish.
