I was laughing my butt off when I read this part of the thread and I said the same thing; BS.... but I had to try it. Years and years of having issues with oily, smelly chin and it's gone. I hope with continued use, it doesn't come back. I went with Spring Valley at 175 mg.

I had the same problem for years. I don't anymore. The solution is simple, aside from your daily cleansing routine, take a cotton ball and put some hydrogen peroxide on it. Then dab the sides of your nostrils, especially in creases by cheeks as well as under them.

You will be amazed after a few days to a week. Trust me, I was at my wit's end.

Do you smoke marijuana on a consistent basis? I just saw a dermatologist and he told me it’s from the marijuana and I should quit for two weeks and it would go away.

Hey, the smell you're talking about is caused due to Melasszia. A fungus that naturally lives on our skin but grows out of control and becomes pathogenic in conditions like presence of excess sebum(oil secretions), moisture and heat. I'd suggest that you try some topicaa antifungals for 2 weeks.

Wow, never thought I'd find a thread like this. I get this smell on my face every now and again. I'm 56, just about done with menopause. I've always had oily skin. But, today, I've been rearranging my bedroom, getting out of breath and sweaty. Then, all of a sudden that smell hit me. Smells more like cat breath to me, but cheese will work too. I eat a lot of potatoes, very starchy. Not too much sweets, no coffee. But, the other day, my kids left a few donuts here from the store. They were long johns with the white cream. Soooo sweet. But, I ate one yesterday, and one the day before. When this smell came out today, that's the first thing I thought of. Potatoes and donuts. Detoxing through the skin. So, I've created a list of all the things I'm buying from reading all the posts. I'm not diabetic, but I've been on some bad drugs to help with inflamed joints due to arthritis. I've also had some thinning of hair above my forehead. More facial hair than desired. Seems I always have a mirror and tweezers handy. I will be so pleased if any of these ideas work. Thanks for the post!

Your problem is that you shower 5 times a day. Jesus. You're insane. You replaced "sugar" with "sugar cane"? Which is what sugar is? They are the same to your body. Stop going on the internet and spreading terribly inaccurate rumors about scientifically verifiable things to unwitting victims.

The bottom line is I have had the same problem since I was 18, I'm now 40 with the same problem, all I found out is it is the least on my face and I haven't found anything to permanently get rid of it so I guess I just have to live with a stinky face if you find a cure email me at ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** posting of private e-mails is not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use

Try vinegar - as a wash - the smell is a yeast - great to rinse your hair with too- just make sure you close your eyes! Dilute with water to start with

I found that Ibergast worked for me and was better than milk thistle. I also have digestive issues so it also helps with that too.

Hi! I noticed the same thing - when I stopped drinking coffee (with sugar) in the morning, the stinky sides of my nose were gone. But, I do not have energy throughout the day...So, I went back to drinking coffee and the stink is back. Oh well....
