I have thee exact same thing. At first I thought it was a pulled muscle but never went away. I constantly pet heating pads on it at night.

I don't have sciatica...but these stretches relieve the tightness in my back thigh and knee. I also follow-up with laying on my side, reach back and grab my ankle for a front thigh stretch.

I know this sounds weird, but make sure you roll out your calves. I have the same pain when I do leg presses and squats... It is much better when I roll out my ENTIRE leg.. The upper calf is where I feel helps the High Thigh/Butt area

Try this for pain relief (works for me). Lie on your back with legs stretched out. Use a yoga or soft mat underneath you. Bend one knee up and tuck heel under your buttock, with the other leg still straight raise your pelvis (and straight leg) off the mat and hold for 3 seconds. Do x10 times. Let me know if anyone else gets pain relief too. Cheers guys.
