Hi. Im 19 and recently started getting a pain during orgasm in my left side of my vaginal wall. It feels like a muscle pain which pulses during orgasm. It started about two days after my last period. Im on antidepressants for about 3 years now. And im prone to getting bacterial infections in my bladder. Not sure if thats relevent. Please advise asap!

I get this on the right side.  Most likely cause, uterine fibroids.  I got diagnosed with fibroids after agreeing to do the most painful test of my life.  They do a vaginal ultrasound where they literally stick this thing in you and push really hard all over.  They push too hard and it hurts like hell.  But it has a camera on it and they can find very small fibroids that way.  Fibroids, even small ones, they can cause all kinds of pain, they can also cause irregular bleeding.  And they can put pressure on your bladder, so you think you have a bladder infection, when most of the time you don't.

Go somewhere else for that test if there's ever a "next time". Sounds like you got someone who was unnecessarily rough, and should have been reported! Due to ovarian cysts that come and go, I have to get a vaginal ultrasound done every year. Thus far I have had 4 total, but never had one where "they pushed too hard", or that "hurt like hell". It's definitely not a comfortable test, but it's terrible that a person would make it far worse than it needs to be.

I just wanted to add my two cents -- this is exactly what started happening to me a month ago. The left side of my vaginal wall muscles would hurt during orgasm -- not until then. It wasn't horribly painful but it was noticeable enough where I planned to go to the doctor. However, this week, it seems to have stopped! I will probably mention this next time I go to the GYN just in case but it has currently stopped on its own. Very strange! I've never been diagnosed with anything having to do with my reproductive system and am not on any medications, have had a couple of UTIs.

Your comment really helped me. I've been having a stabbing pain on the right side of my vagina only during orgasm for 3 weeks and it's so depressing. Thank you, I feel hopeful.
