I had tge same exact thing, hurts to caugh, walk etc. The only relief comes from laying down. What it was in my case was an abscess, went to the doc who confirmed told me to call my doctor and they can lance and drain it. Well that nex tmorning I woke up and felt a release of pressure. Went to the bathroom and blood and pus was all over the toilet paper. Needless to say dont fret you should be fine.

I have been having that exact pain for 11 months now, I've been to six different doctors some says it's haemorrhoids, one says it's fissure, one says it's the muscles in my butt too tight but they gave me nothing. At times it's very annoying n hurts alot, at times I'll feel it in my left butt cheeks, my anus and above my butt. I tried to bear the pain at times but sometimes its unbearable so I have to take pain killers. I thought I was the only one with this problem, have anyone gotten help please let me know.

I also cracked my tail bone! I was in bed, long story short I turned my body to sleep and I got this really bad cramp or what ever it was (felt like my back was going to break) so I turned back the other way and it cracked afterwards it kinda felt better at the moment but then I couldn't really sleep so I slept straight on my back. Been having pain since. Happened last night. Kinda scary but hopefully not to serious. Let me know if you here anything!

I got this coxis (knuckle cracking) pain all the time and leg pain after I gave birth as well. Went to PT to treat nerve pain for a while, but stopped going bc I wasn't feeling better. Did you ever find a solution/cure for this?

It's a condition called coccydinia. Inflammation of your coccyx aka tailbone. Also your Sacram which consists of five discs usually fused that connect to your coccyx. I should say sounds like the condition. I spent almost 2yrs not being able to sit bend etc I can sometimes get some relief lying down. I went to many dr's over 2yrs. Finally found a great surgeon who found the problem in 5 mins. My tailbone broke and had healed dislocated in the shape of the capital Letter L. They brought me to operating room and manually put it back into place. Alot of dr's do not know how to treat this or are not qualified! They will finally tell you after numerous epidurals etc to have your tailbone removed also called a coccygecko my DON'T! THAT IS A LAST RESORT WITH MANY COMPLICATIONS AND A 6 MONTH TO YR RECOVERY. ALSO MAYBE 20% GET RELIEF. I AM A NURSE WHO FOUND A DR THAT SPECIALIZES IN THIS. IF YOU NEED HELP LET ME KNOW. OF COURSE I HAD MY SURGEEY 3 WEEKS AGO TODAY WAS DOING GREAT UNTIL LAST TUESDAY 2 WEEKS AFTER SURGERY I FELL AND NOW STARTING OVER.

Sounds like L5/S1........disc related.
I kicked off with same problem 2 years ago. Eventually went into back, spasms into hip/top of back side and down the leg. Had surgery 2 months ago n not a bother now. It's back related get MRI lumbar spine.

Hi Jonesy
I have the same issue, thought It might be disk problem but they all say it feels like a priformis nerve which is trapped in your buttocks. Tried all the stretches and it helps but the one for me is the one with a tennis ball. Roll on it slowly where the pain is, control the pressure with your body weight rolling back and forward sideways slowly. Feel you pain good luck. V
