It's a pilonidal cyst. It always goes away and comes back even when it doesn't drain. However, draining it keeps it away longer! Trust me.

I got this condition after I was in a car accident. It started at my lower back and it later moved down to my butt crack. Have anyone noticed this after a car wreck?

I had this problem approx. 40 yrs ago the first time. it was a pilonidal cyst (Infection pocket at the coccyx). It took me nearly 5 years before I finally got surgery to eliminate the hair pocket causing all the trouble.they got most of it, but after 30 years I suddenly have another episode of the same. Although it isn't as large or deep it is still very bothersome. Antibiotics will never completely cure the infection so lancing and packing AGAIN (to alloy it to heal without leaving a pocket) seems to be my best solution.

Sciatica. It sucks. I have nerve damage from giving birth to my daughter. Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation. Try ice or heat, varies by person, but heat is better for me. SOONER YOU SEE YOUR DOCTOR THE BETTER

I have something similar, the pain isn't nearly as great but I've only had it about a week. It's only when I go to use the bathroom do I notice it. I kind of feels like a cyst but I can't tell. (NSFW) I didn't start to notice it til after having rough anal sex. I've had it before though, but this time it made me bleed a little bit. I know it wasn't my period (I "checked") and there was some on my butt plug too. I feel too embarrassed to go to the doctor about it. Is there anyway I could drain it myself? Or have someone else help me with it?
Sorry to hear about everyone else's awful pain by the way ):

I'm not sure about the rest of you but my pain Iano where near the anal opening... Therefore Proctalgia fugax is ruled out... The pain is two and a half to 3 inches above the anus

My symptomps are exactly similar to yours.. Do you also feel the pain when you flex the muscles around the ass area? Have you been to the doctor already? I just hope it isn't anything serious.. I believe it is because I sit very weird.

Hi,
I don't mean to scare you, but my mom had this pain for years before they finally found she had a rare cancer called chordoma. They missed it in MRIs and scans. She had back surgery, a hysterectomy, and several colonoscopies before they found it.
It can be treated with some success if it is found early. It can not be cured. Of course, mom's was not found early.
No one ever looks for this, because it is so rare. And you will probably be dismissed by your doctors when you ask that they check for it, as a matter of fact they may not even know what a chordoma is.
I hope you get some relieve and I hope it is not a chordoma. But I wish we had seen something like this before it was too late for mom.
