I went to the store with a friend today so she could pick up something she had been wanting to buy, and I was talking with her while we waited, when all of a sudden, I began feeling this particularly painful pins and needles? feeling all over my hands and face, and a less painful, but still painful sensation over my arms, other parts of my head, and some places across my chest. It lasted for about a minute until, just as quickly as it had come, it disappeared. This wasn't like those your-leg-fell-asleep sensations, because it was most definitely not numb, or had a numb feeling. It was extremely painful, as if I were actually being stabbed viciously with tiny knives.

I've had this happen to me several times, during various states of activity. The last time this happened (or at least I think it was the last time, my memory is terrible), I was working on a project on the computer. These, uh, episodes are very sudden, and come without warning. I don't know what this might be.

I can't ask a doctor because I don't have contact with one, so I don't know where else to ask.
