I am currently doing the Mona Lisa touch procedures. I have had two out of three. They are done six weeks apart. Honestly, so far it has not helped. My gynecologist says there is plenty of lubrication, but my problem is the tight opening as many others have mentioned. Now I'm trying the dilators.

I am doing the Mona Lisa touch procedures. There are three procedures six weeks apart. I've done two of them so far. It has helped with lubrication but not the tightness and pain of initial penetration. Trying dilators for that. Very frustrated.

What's wrong with you? Read up on what happens to a woman's body, especially the vagina, after menopause. Hormones cause cancers. I had breast cancer at 40, so hormones are OUT of the question. You will just have to be a LITTLE more creative since, without hormones, your penis just won't fit! Try oral sex. She can try exercises, but that won't stop the atrophy and dryness any more than it will stop wrinkling of the skin. How does your wife feel about being pumped full of cancer causing hormones? Have you asked? Does she know her risks? Get creative, sir........or find some id**t 20-something.

Totally agree and wondered if it's because I'd had a C section not a vaginal delivery . This situation is impossible.

My wife has the same problem I get in about 2 inches and that’s it I’m looked at different sites and I’m come up with P C musels in there need to stretch them it’s not the end of the world we are still getting plenty of sex just no penis up there just going to get a PC musel stretcher

I have tried the hormone cream & it did help a lot. My Dr said it is safe & does not cause cancer. I was supposed to use the cream for a limited amount of time at a high amount & then use a small amount daily. My problem was it worked at first but then we didn't have sex for a while & it was like I needed the high dose again to keep things working properly. Not sure what would have happened if we would have continued to have sex say every few days or even weekly.

I so completely understand your situation, I have the same problem. I also never had children and thought that had something to do with the tightness. It's almost as if its closed and something has dropped down and is now blocking entry. It really sucks you feel you can never again have a relationship, because I feel the same way. I feel almost cursed to forever be alone, I tried to have a relationship but it was impossible when it came to sex. The pain was horrific and no man wants to put up with this when their are normal girls readily available. If you find an answer, please pass the word along. Thank you and I'm sorry for your pain and understand

My wife and I have given up on penetrative sex because she is too tight. She had a hysterectomy and was on HRT for a time and things were fine then but when she went off HRT that’s when the tightness started.

It may have been exacerbated by the problems I had with erection because of tablets I was taking. That has been solved with Viagra but for a few years we did not have sex because of me. Use it or louse it they say.

We still cuddle and have other forms of sexual activity but being realistic it’s like having the starter and the desert without the main course.

If you are reading this before menopause my advice is to weigh up the advantages and disadvantages of HRT. How important to you and your partner is penetrative sex against the risks of long term HRT. My wife and I are approaching 70 and still have a good sex life together. It’s just like a lot of things when you get older is not as good as it used to be.
