I would like to know if removal of wisdom teeth could cause parotid swelling on both sides, left and right.

There are various conditions which can cause swelling of the Parotid gland. First of all this gland is responsible for most of the saliva produced in your body. As you probably experience the swelling of this gland can be very painfull and uncomfortable.

Swelling usually means that something is infected so your gland is infected and the cause can be opstruction of the gland or the infection of the lymph nodes. Even some eating disorders and some viral infections can cause the swelling of parotid gland. If you are suspecting that your wisdom removal has caused this than maybe you have some other infection and it would be wise to check with your doctor or even dentist what is going on.
