My question is this: What is the likelihood that after always testing positive at home with the previous three, that I would no longer show on tests due to the "newly developed" PCOS?
I took multiple at-home tests and a urine and blood test at PCP and they're all negative.
I am supposed to have surgery to remove pollyps but just scheduled an OB appt for next week to request having an ultrasound to find out once and for all, but what do you think? Can I just all of a sudden stop showing positive now that I've suddenly got PCOS? Could it be the new birth control? I had a cycle during the placebo week after the first month but it was CONSIDERABLY lighter than normal (to the point I'm not sure I'd even need the pollyps removed). Does this make sense? My boyfriend and I are quite anxious not knowing.
Thank you in advance!!!

Hi,
This is truly a great blog. I'm 46 years old & was diagnosed with PCOS in my teens. I've always had irregular cycles but for the last year my cycle came like every 3rd week in the month. I haven't had a cycle since April & it was only 3 light days; usually 6 heavy days. Missing a cycle ism new but I've never had pregnant symptoms. I've had 4 negative got & 1 neg blood test. My obgyn informed me that my prolactin level was high and prescribed me medicine. I still feel I'm pregnant because of the symptoms, tender breast, nauseated, discomfort in lower abdominal, and I have wired feelings in my stomach. I've never been pregnant before & don't know if this is just in my head. I didn't won't to take the medicine until I'm 100% sure I'm not pregnant. This was my first time seeing this doctor & don't know how he will feel of I ask for an ultrasound.
