Hi I'm exactly 59 days late and I also have pcos. I'm experiencing all the symptoms of being pregnant except for morning sickness. I'm super bloated tender breast and also have clear fluid coming out from both my breast. They also sometime itch like crazy. I've done 4 test and each one was negative very disappointing also my breast is very heavy. I've been tracking my ovulation through an app and right around then the day before had unprotected sex. A couple days after I spotted for 2 day and thought it was my period then shortly after that I could not hold my urine I had to go running to the bathroom often that was strange and I thought it could if been a uti. Then I'm observing now I have a faint black lune running down the centre of my stomarch. If that wasn't enough I'm also gaining weight and very moody and irritated I also feel my lover tummy like there is something inside and there Is a beat or pulse from my belly botton could all this be in my mind or can I really be preggo. Could someone please help any suggestions

This is an eye opener to me as my partner has PCOS and we have been trying for pregnancy and she has been told she can not get pregnant and right now she is 2 weeks late on her period and has had a blood test and done two urine tests and all have come back negative but she is showing all the signs and symptoms of being pregnant is there any test that may help show apart from having an ultra sound. If so please let me know.

I am so happy to be reading positive stories!! I worry about not being able to concieve. I have been diagnosed with PCOS. My boyfriend and I are planning on getting married soon, buying a house and starting our family soon, and I get upset often when I worry about not being able to give him the family he deserves.

Have been diagnosed with PCOS with no children or prior pregnancies, had abnormal and normal cycles for years. I miss a few months( 2 )and then finally had a very heavy cycles in June and was scheduled for DNC for possible miscarriage but it was cancelled due to positive pregnancy test...it is now September and still positive blood test for pregnancy at low levels and negative for home pregnancy test. To stop the bleeding a DEPO shot was suggested but now I can't due to positive test... Just started taking metformin again but now I am so confused at what to do next Not trying to concive but not against either.

Amen. My last pregnancy (who is now 4) had a negative pregnancy test and a hardly visible pregnancy test in the same night. A week later lines were more clear. On a side note, I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 17 and told that I would never have children without surgery. Both of my children were conceived naturally. These days I take what experts tell me with a grain of salt. ;-)

this post is wrong. PCOS can and does give false negative pregnancy tests. i had 3 false negatives before i finally got a positive -- THREE MONTHS after my missed period. i wish i had listened to my gut and went to the doctor earlier. GO TO THE DOCTOR AND GET A BLOOD TEST IF YOU THINK YOU ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!!! i really wish i had known this 3 months ago!

Hi, I hope this helps. My husband and I have been ttc for about 2 years. I have PCOS, and although PCOS will not cause a false negative many women with PCOS do not have the typical 28 day cycle. I didn't see anything in your question about ovulation predictor kits or "Opks", but for instance I have a 35 day cycle length and I ovulate very late anywhere from day 23-28. A friend of mine who also has PCOS has a cycle length of 60 days, so and ovulation does not always occur for her. If your wife had an off month, and ovulated late she could be pregnant, but not as far along as you think. Another possibility and issue women with PCOS struggle with is low progestrene. If your wife has not had her levels monitored and checked she should do this to lower your risk of a miscairrage. This is something I would offer as a MUST do. We suffered a mc due to our lack of knowledge on this subject. So to answer your question Yes pcos can affect a pregnancy test, but only due to the irregular ovulation time and cycle lengths. And a tip for ttc with PCOS get her hormone levels checked to better your chances and continue Met. Clomid and Opks used in collaboration will also help. Good luck, and baby dust!

Iya ladies (+ gents) im not sure if its still active on here but heres my experience anyway, i was diagnosed with pcos last year (2014) after 2 miscarriages. the first time i was pregnant it took me till i was 8wks to get positive on a hpt, docs urine test was neg so to her i wasn't carrying and i accepted it until stretch marks came 2 weeks later so i tested again an was positive so booked midwife app only to lose the baby during emergency scan :-( second time was around 7 months after and was the same with hpt all came back neg for weeks but i knew to push for bloods which were neg too that pregnancy was confirmed by a physical exam at 7 wks, was diagnosed pcos prescribed met but lost baby 6 days after exam i was truly devastated. sorry if that was a pain in the arse to read girls but i am proof a positive result takes its time to show up, hcg didn't even show for bloods at 7 wks! currently still trying for our first born only thing is we are ready this time loaded with met and prepared for the confusion pcos causes in pregnancy! lol good luck ladies and please never feel foolish when it comes to pcos it is a very confusing disease as you Will already know :-) all the best x
