This type of thing happens to me all the time. And I get really worried about pregnancy and really really want my period to come. But our periods are totally psycological. If you want it to come, it won't. And when you don't want it to come, it comes. So use reverse psychology on yourself.
What I do is tell myself all day long that I don't want my period (even though I really do). And within the next day or two it will come. :)
I've also heard that clitoral orgasms or intercourse can help the blood flow and definitely relive cramps.
I haven't figured out why this happens yet since I dance 7 days a week and eat a relatively healthy diet. I'm guessing it's stress and lack of sleep. Those are my theories, I hope they help!

This happened to me in December. I have never missed my period before and in December I missed it completely. I had all the PMS symptoms but no bleeding. Your missed period could be due to a number of things: hormonal changes, stress, medications, pregnancy, thyroid issues, change of routine, weight gain or weight loss, a diet high in fat and I read that sometimes periods just skip a month for no reason that can be diagnosed.

For me it was a drastic change in diet. I went on a detox program where I cut out sugar, gluten, carbs, dairy, red meats and wheat. Then after the three weeks I went on a cruise and started eating all of those things plus foods that were rich and not so healthy (you know how much food there is on a cruise) so I missed my period that month. I took a pregnancy test and it came back negative. The test I took said that it was over 99% accurate.

After vacation I started my regular healthy diet again and my workout program. Going on the vacation changed my routine and eating habits.

What helped me was working out. Even when I have regular periods I noticed that high intensity Cardio always helps my period come early. My advice is first take a pregnancy test and make sure it's a reliable one, its worth the extra money! Second if you aren't pregnant or have any health issues be it physical or psychological and you are usually pretty regular try being very active get on the treadmill or elliptical and workout, see if the activity helps bring on your period because it always does for me and I have even got my period at the gym.

It's worth a try. If its only one month and you aren't pregnant then wait, if you don't get it the following month go see a doctor.

Good luck everyone!

I am also 39 years old. Same things as being described. Cramps, bloating, irritability...but no blood. I am on birth control, and have been for a while. I am not pregnant. I don't eat unhealthy food (health freak, per say). I work out about 5 to 6 times a week. I have heard that the healthier you are (lower body fat) the less you will bleed. But no blood has me kinda worried. Usually I will start like clock work, but the healthier I am, the quicker my periods go away (usually only lasting 2 to 3 days, tops). But this is really the first month I have had no blood at all. Wish I knew an answer.

I'm 19 and I only have a period every 2 years. I get the symptoms of a period but no blood. I went to the doctor and they said everything was normal and I didn't have anything to worry about.

i'm turning 21 and i have the same symptoms as the comments above. abdominal pain, sore breast but no menstration. the difference is that i got anxiesty and depression. i went to the doctors for it and the doctor said i have "hormonal imbalance". i get angry easily and i get depressed easily. when some one gets angry at me and scold me i get so depress to the point of thinking about 'death'.

missing out on your period might be the cause of:

-un healthy diet

-over weight

-on the pill for while then stopped taking it suddenly

-hormonal imbalance

dont forget to go to the doctors before it's too late. my case started when i was 17 or 16. there was a time when i didn't have my period for 1 year and i didn't go to the doctors until now. and it scares the sh*t out of me thinking i might not be able to have children because of this....

Well like everyone in this post I to have all the PMS symptoms but no blood. I can ALWAYS tell when I'm about to start because my cramps are horrible, due to endometriosis and ovarian cysts. I am 23 and my diet hasn't changed and my stress level is the same as normal. I don't know if I am pregnant but I doubt I am. All I know is I'm having an invisible period. I'm even taking Midol for the cramps, bloating, fatigue, etc. and it does little to help but it is better than nothing. If anyone can find out what exactly is going on please post it. Obviously alot of women are suffering these same symptoms.
