I believe I have a UTI, which would explain bladder pain/pain on urination. However I am also experiencing a pinkish/brownish milky discharge on and off for several weeks now, only having a break from this when I actualyl was on my period. I know this kind of discharge can be a symptom of vaginosis; could vaginosis also cause a UTI? My urine is exceptionally colorless but does have a strong odor to it that's unusual for me.
Curious. I can't get into my doctor yet so I thought I'd ask.

While some women may have no symptoms what so ever, other women suffering from bacterial vaginosis can experience the same symptoms that accompany UTI.
Bacterial infection most often cause bleedings (brown discharge) and may be accompanied by unpleasant smell and burning upon urination as well as painful intercourse.
Bacteria should not be left in the body for so long. It can get nasty if it ends up in the blood stream. Bleeding and unpleasant odor may also be associated with yeast infection but yeast over-growth doesn’t usually cause urination pain.
Uti can also cause bleeding and the thing is that only a doctor can determine what it really is. Like I already said, I wouldn’t play with bacterial infections.

I am a male. That is exactly what I occaisionally get. Sometimes it can be painful in the bladder area. Feels better after urination, but disconcerting seeing the odd colors and smell. This is not just a female thing. I am concerned now. Is this a kidney thing or just an occaisional bladder infection and what could possibly bring it on? I am an otherwise healthy 42 year old man.
