thank-you. I have always felt that you have to be able to diagnose your own problem and convince the "Drs" to do their job. I thought there job was to get to the root of the problems. It has become such a revolving door that none I have seen take the time to really be thorough. Sure would be nice to see a change in this practice.

This the best explanation for the foot pain I have endured for the last three years, following being diagnosed with Hashimotos disease. My MD has been keeping my Thyroid Tsh at the level of 3.5, maybe this is still too high?

Not always. Even after a year of treatment a lot of my symptoms are still there including heel pain.

I just need to say that if you have fillings and or root canals in your mouth then you will have a problem with your thyroid. Not only is it very costly to get rid of them, but it is very difficult to find an dentist who is quilified and knows how to do it without causing more harm. And you won't hear this from a regular doctor. They are not taught this. I only recently found out that my foot pain could be caused by hypothoroid. Stretching and shots in the foot haven't helped. I am getting fitted for custom molded orthotics, then I am going to do something about my thyroid problem.

I am convinced that the cause of my foot pain is Synthroid. I forgot to take it the other night and the foot pain that I have had for 2 months disappeared. As soon as I remembered to take it I did (next morning) and an hour later the foot pain was back.

Sounds just like a recurrence of plantar fasciitis. You need stretching exercises and a good orthotic. Where are you in the world/country?

This is very sad. I'm just starting with Hypothyroidism but I have been taking natural supplements and they have helped. The one that seems the most promising right now is Emerald Thyroid Support (I got on Amazon). i started noticing changes already. Best of Luck though and I hope you find a way to relieve your pain.
