When I read your posting to my husband he thought it was my post.
I had ACL reconstructive surgery 13 months ago and I am experiencing tingling, and nerve pain in my foot. Also, my knee, my thigh and, calf are always in pain. My foot and knew get huge! All I heard from my surgeon was: There is nothing else I can do. He referred me to a pain clinic. My appointment is on Friday. I also had a bulging disk removed. I can't walk even after drugs, not even for 2 blocks. My quality of life sucks. I go to work and I go swimming. It just helps to keep my muscles moving to avoid more muscle atrophy. I am sorry I do not have solutions, but I called my insurance and they said I can make an appointment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN I am hopeful that they will help me. A team of doctors helped my friend and now he even went skiing for the first time this past Winter.

My heel is absolutely killing me. I’m writing this at 2:56 AM 3 days after surgery and I still can’t sleep. It’s more of a sharp pain...

Have you tried going to a podiatrist? Your feet might not be the problem but some treatments can help alleviate some of the pain. I was given socks and it helped with the sciatica I developed.

I am a little over two weeks post op after acl and lateral meniscus repair. The right side of my right foot hurts more than my knee. It hurts from my pinky toe down to my heel. I am only 17 so I would expect that I have a good nervous system. Any news on people solving the problem?

I am 2 wks post op on acl repair and meniscus and I have that tingling pain in my calf and down to just right above my ankle. It’s painful to the touch. It feels numb but yet extremely sensitive to touch. Like fire almost. . I am starting to worry. My orthopedic surgeon said I should be fine it’s only been 2 wks but I didn’t have this problem with my other knee when I had all 4 ligaments torn and miniscus shaved.

So I had an ACL and meniscus surgery, and now all of a sudden I can't feel my foot on the same leg I had my surgery on! What should I do?

My 16/17 year old has gone through all of what you and yours have. We just had an EMG completed and it is indicated that he has some issues with the sciatic nerve. Now, they want to perform MRI's of the thigh and the knee front and back to see if there is a possibility of a cyst behind the knee, post-surgery. We are also consulting with a pain management team. Some things we have been doing for now is heat, heat seems to help/abate some of the pain. He takes hot showers to help as well. My heart goes out to you because I have sat many nights with my son in tears as well. It's hard to watch.
