I had my galll bladder removed four days ago using lapriscopic surgery. In addition to pain in my right side, my bladder no longer urges me to go to the bathroom. I don't have incontinence and can empty my bladder, but I never feel full. Is the pain and bladder problems part of a normal recovery?

i'm having the same issues, two days post op. my mother is a nurse and says it's from anesthesia still in the system and as it leaves the system that symptom will get better. that's why they ask you to be able to urinate before you can be discharged from the hospital.

Had my Gall Bladder taken out yesterday, The gas pain in my shoulder, abdomen and back get intense at times. I am not nauseated but I have only eaten yogurt, toast and tea. The incision areas are a little sore but so far so good, its just this gas pain.......

I just had my gall bladder out this morning (7:30 am).  I was released from the ASC by 11:30.  The surgeon had to make a larger incision to remove the gall bladder because of it's size, but overall I've felt really good.  I've been able to get up and walk around a bit, have gone to the bathroom a bunch with minimal overall pain.  I was able to eat some chicken tenders and fries for dinner without issue.
