I am 21 years old and have been diagnosed for almost 4 years now. They think I have had it since middle school, when I first had a syncope episode. All through the years even through high school I had the occasional syncope episode and always had stomach issues, but no one ever picked up on it until I started passing out about every other day and then couldn't hardly walk afterwards. It's very hard being at this age trying to work, go to college and be a newlywed. People you work with don't understand that you can't work as many hours as they can because your body just can't handle it. My body get's so tired just from normal activities. My legs kill me more than anything, they ache, tense up all the time and nothing seems to relieve them. Sometimes heat does, but it never goes away completley. I just wish people that didn't have POTS would stop juding other people that didn't have it, or stop judging people in general that are just sick. They don't know what their body goes throguh on a daily basis and how hard it is for that one individual to do something that may seem so easy and general for them to do.
