I have recently been diagnosed with PAC's and Atrial Tachycardia. My BP is within normal limits, but my Pottasium is low, it is anywhere from 3.2 to 3.6 . I had an echo done in 2002 that showed a thickening in my mitral valve so we did another one and it came back as reading normal. Do I need a second opinion #1?
My Dr. decided to put me on Atenenol. BUT, I am still having chest pains, and still feeling the irregular heart beat that alerted me to the fact that something was wrong. I have since gained 18 pounds because of fluid retention.
To increase the medical history more, I have endometriosis and PCOS, so I take Metformin to prevent the formation of cycsts, the downside is diarrhea, which can deplete my body of potassium. Also, I have osteoporosis and 2 bulging discs in my thorasic spine so I need a calcium supplements with vitamin D and also am BiPolar so I take Neurontin and Topamax.
More questions: Can all these medications be the culperate of my heart problems? OR Can my back problems have anything to do with my heart? OR Do you think that maybe everything in a nutshell has to do with something that is being totally overseen alltogether?
I am feeling like a 90 year old woman in the morning when I get out of bed, and it takes about 30 mins to even get moving.... I'm only 29. :$
