I'm also 25 and I am having a similar problem. Your obgun will examin u even when you are bleeding don't wait any longer. I've been dealing with my period for almost 2 months the way you were describing and it's awful. But my ob gyn has been working with me they put me on iron and the 10 day pill which they just increased. So lets keep our finger crossed to see if it works!!! Im really worried because my period hasnt stopped in 3 months, my mom said its most likely from the depo shot, we decided to stop it because i was gaining weight, so she said by the 3rd month it should be back to normal for me (because mine are already irregular) but now its the 3rd day and my period is still going strong. Im only 19. Is this bad? Will it affect my fertility? Please help! Thanks

I am currently 21 years old. I have been having the same problem as all of you since the end of February of 2013 and it has stopped about twice for a day or two since I got started on the pill in February when I made and appointment with my OBGYN. Since I have never had sexual relations, I could qualify for a pap smear that would make diagnosing me easier. In the end I was told I had hormonal imbalance. I have been taking birth control, and that has not helped. I started to take the pill every 12hrs as instructed by my OBGYN but it stopped my period for 2 days and then instead of spotting. it was like I was having my period, cramps and all. This whole time since February it went from clotting a lot to where it hurt, to just spotting during the pill term that I am still on. My body is not necessarily going by the book as one of by OBGYN doctors said... so what the hell do I do next, its literally bloody hell. My main concern is "how do I stop this?" and " will I be infertile?". This sucks. If anyone has figured how to stop this, let me know.

hi my name is trina and i've been on my period since august 2 when to my gyn and she gave these pill to stop my period for 21 days it help a little it stop for 1 days and than start back up again so i when back sept 5 and she gave me the shot progesterone and i'm still going heavy now i;m just wonder how long before the shot make my period stop. so tried of buyer pads

I'm 13 and my periods last 1 month and not 7-10 days, I have never had sex before and I'm scared and I don't know what this means, I'm to nervous to ask a doctor

 

I'm 47 and having the same problem with no explanation after PAP and blood work. Also Ultrasound and nothing unusual to report. Dr.'s say I'm just going through menopause early. That was two months ago when I had the tests and two months later still flowing. I do not consume hormone injected milk - I'm lactose intolerant. I also only eat organic eggs, chicken and do not eat red meat. I have also never taken birth control pills. I'm sure I'm probably anemic by now but have to get insurance again so I can go back and get checked again. I'm worried, tired, restless, can't sleep and maybe scared to find out why I've have my period for almost five months this week.

My daughter called home from college and told me that she has been on her period for 6 weeks and it does not seem to be stopping. She has days where the flow slows then starts back heavy the next day. I've made her a doctors appointment but, was wondering if anyone here had any ideas what could be causing her to have this problem?

I have been bleeding for almost a month now and i'm under provera (it's a hormone pills that has progesterone)..i had my 2nd set of pills after the 10days...after i stop the pill on my 1st doses, i bleeded again heavy after 4days. My gyne put me on provera again for 30days now...i was on sick leave 2x at work already..and i was in the ER a week ago and was diagnosed of DUB (Dysfuntional uterine bleeding) and had UTI...they prescribed antibiotic to me called Macrobid and ask me to continue with provera..they runned a trans V and pelvic ultrasound too and was able to monitor that my ovarian cyst on the right side is still 2cm since 2011..i had surgery last 2005 on my left and right ovaries, i had cysts that sized 3cms and 6 cms consecutively plus 2cms fibroid inside my uterus. After the surgery, the biopsy report shows i have endometriosis and adenomyosis...but a year after my surgery it became severe endometriosis and gives me hemmorhagic cysts twice a year..which is so painful and gives me a abdominal and lower back pains (cause me to be in ER at times)...my cyst cam back more than 2years ago and refused birth control pills bec it gives me side effects on my heart (i have Mitral valve prolapse) though i tried some birth control pills after my surgery then for a year..i will be having my dr's appointment tomorrow for a biopsy for my endometrial lining for pre-screening for cancer. I hope nothing serious.. :( what advise can you give me. Is this really hormonal imbalance only or is it because of the weight loss pill that i took last march? After i took this pill Garcinia Cambogia...i didn't menstruated for the whole month of April then got delayed for two weeks...i did pregnancy test 2x but negative..my period came May 12, upto now i'm still bleeding...i get dizzy and nauseous at times and my dr advise me to take iron supp 2x a day...im thinking if the dizziness came from the antibiotic coz they check me for anemia 3wks ago, it's normal. Even ER didnt say anything wrong about my blood works...what to do? Can you give me suggestion of foods what to eat to stop the bleeding...;)

I started spotting feb 23,2015 and 3/4/2015 I actually started a menustration & it seems it starts over & over again still to dis date I'm still bleeding 4/21/2015 . My doctor says I can either take the shot or get the iud,but all I want is for the bleeding to stop. Maybe I might ask him about the 10 day pill.

maybe you can try vitamin K (I'm not responsible if you have complications etc)

Try taking some oganic black strap molasses. It help a lot wit bleeding and can even stop it.
