Hello,
my mother is complaining she has stiffness in her fingers. For the past few days she has swollen fingers and feel extreme stiffness in joints (especially on hands). She is wondering if this could be rhematoid arthritis. She is 37 and is it possible to get rhematoid arthritis so early?

Hey there,
Yes,, it is possible to get rhematoid arthritis already at the age of 20, sometimes even children … Besides, women are somehow more exposed to it than men. Her symptoms are symptoms of rhematoid arthritis. Some people develop flue like symptoms, which is not uncommon for rhematoid arthritis. It is best for her to visit physician, who is familiar with arthritis.
