Birth control pills, patches, shots, IUD's, mini pills, etc can cause abortions. Anyone who says they can't has not done their research. The manufacturers do not classify your child a "pregnancy" until he/she is able to implant into your uterus, which is exactly what their products prevent. So they get away with saying "it wont harm an existing pregnancy" I cant not stand that doctors are not informing women of what they are taking. It's criminal! Look for wording such as "Alters uterine lining" and "prevents implantation" - ways of saying that they will stop your already developing baby from being able to properly attach to you, and so he or she will not be able to survive. Your child is so young at that stage that he or she could easily be mistaken for a period. Not saying all of you have had unknown abortions, but just putting this info out there because its not commonly known! If in doubt simply call/email the company and/or you doctor and ask straight forward and simple questions like "Does this product prevent a fertilized egg from implanting into the uterus?" The answer may shock you.

well. . I'm 19 yrs old. I just got my period again. but tonight I found a dark piece of sticky, it jelly like. no birth control. I thought I was pregnant before. this piece looked like it belonged as a tiny heart or tiny leech like. it had an opening, but split apart. its dark red and it was like a waterfall. I can't help but to think this might be a miscarriage because I got really sad..I don't know whattothink

What if on top of that you have really heavy periods for a week and it goes away for a week and then comes back has been doing that for at least three months now

When I was in my mid to late teens I had two week periods and pain so bad I had passed out. It would come out in chunks (sometime black) and feel like I was being fileted from the inside out. No amount of pain pills helped rid the pain. The only thing to do was go on birth control. I had great luck with the pill form of birth control and, as that I have never tried the other forms of birth control, I've had other people tell me that they had bad periods on the others. If you don't want to stay of birth control the rest of your life or want get pregnant I've learned you need to exercise extra and stretch lots a week before you start. It doesn't eliminate it but it does help move it along and relieve the pain while on pain pills.

I have had this before too, chunks that kinda look like a tongue. They ate normal, but if you do plan to get pregnant let your doctor know that this has happened in the past, I has a miscarraige at 4 months and hasn't previously told my Dr about that then when I got the discharge potatoes it said if that happen you need to talk to your Dr because it can cause an incompetentcy. Meaning you're unable to carry the baby full term because you can't carry the weight... Food for thought

Happened to me twice! Both were after an overdose of birth control pills, by which I mean taking the pills for a few more days than it is required. The first time it was of the size of my palm and I was so afraid and nervous that I tossed it away, but the ultrasonic report said everything was OK with my uterus. It happened again recently, and I immediately took that thing to my doctor, and the result shall come out tmr.

You do realize that 1. everyone knows this, and 2. This is what its supposed to do? Birth control stops pregnancy in more than one way, one of which is preventing implantation, which means a fertilized egg may try to implant, and then be "aborted" and destroyed. Many women are pregnant multiple times in their life and never know it because its actually very hard to get pregnant, and most pregnancies end before theyre detectable. Any doctor will say yes, this does prevent implantation, which its supposed to. How else do you think you keep from getting pregnant? Stop trying to scare women.

The body already naturally gets rid of unfertilized eggs before implantation around 34% of the time. So if you are willing to forego the scientific definition of pregnancy to suit whatever you feel like, then every woman with a uterus, including yourself, has had unknown abortions by your definition. So please stop spreading emotionally manipulative half truths.
