about six weeks ago, I started getting extreme headaches either just before orgasm or at the point of orgasm.  I went to the doctor.  She immediately sent me to hospital for a CT scan to make sure I didn't have an aneurysm.  At the hospital, after they determined I don't have an aneurysm or anything else going on in my brain, they prescribed an anti-inflammatory to take an hour before orgasm.  The pills stopped the big massive headaches, but I still had "ghost" headaches for a couple of days and I worried that the pills were giving me side effects - dizziness.

Then I went to see a massage therapist.  She figured out that I was holding tension in my jaw and neck.

I tried keeping my mouth open and my face open during sex - voila! no more headaches!!!  This has been a super result because the sex is much better.  Instead of holding the tension in my face, I keep it in my genitals.  I don't close my eyes to my partner and the intimacy is stronger.  Who knew these horrid headaches would turn out to be a blessing in disguise.

This is the only thing I can suggest which hopefully it helps at least one person reading this... this happened to me for a period of a few weeks when I was taking Wellbutrin. It was so awful to the point I was avoiding orgasm and I have always been a very sexual person. It would happen literally as I would start to orgasm and basically ruin the orgasm. When I stopped taking the Wellbutrin the headaches stopped after about a week or 2. Thank god i was terrified to live with that for the rest of my life. So all I can say is maybe it's related to meds for some people? I hope that helps someone out there at least...
