I have had these symptoms for about three years now. This morning I made cookies to take to a cookie swap, tasted one and went into severe pain. I have been trying to get off the omneprazole and actually have found that by eating Paleo, I have no pain. If it is a food allergy, you have to stop eating a lot of things and then see what works for you. I came off of sugar, salt, no beans of any kind, no caffeine, no corn and no potatoes, no wheat. I also made a personal choice to try and come off several of my meds which included the omneprazole (which was a prescription even though you can get it over-the-counter). I had no pain, no bloat for the entire two weeks and lost 6 pounds. Now, with Christmas near, I am eating some bad food and my stomach immediately reacts. I am pretty sure at this point that sugar is my allergy. Before Paleo, I had tried glutein-free and nothing really changed. I believe that my stomach hurts because it doesn't like what I feed it. With lean, organic meats and fresh fruits and vegetables, it stays happy. Today, I have screwed up though and will suffer for it all day.

I have the same burning pain that literately brings me to my knees, nothing makes it go away. It lasts usually 5-7 mins. I can't get comfortable and usually end up in a ball on the floor gripping between my ribs just above my navel. It goes as quick as it starts and the burn sometimes goes right through to my spine.
It started 2 years ago when I was hospitalized with food poisoning.
I was told it was acid reflux and have been on some of the meds mentioned above, they didn't help.I like most people here have been through all the tests too, bloods, CT, contrast ct, x-rays, barium swallow, etc... only thing showing up was gall stones! Finally an answer!!! I eventually got my gallbladder removed and I am two weeks post op... yesterday the pain was back worse than I had ever ever experienced it before!!! the pain was constant but bearable. I got breaks of around 10 mins in between excruciating burning pain attacks, my wife wanted to call an ambulance a couple of times it was that bad.
Turns out I just had a healthy stoneless gallbladder removed for no reason! So disheartened, angry and at my wits end! I am through with hospitals, through with tests and through with doctors guessing.
I know what I don't have... IBS, Acid reflux, infected or inflamed gallbladder and stones!
(ps. I have also kept a very detailed food/drink and meds diary, nothing triggers it in particular. I hardly have dairy, I hate sugary, fatty, greasy foods, hate chocolate, deserts, pastries etc )
so if anyone has ANY suggestions at all that I can look into it would be greatly appreciated!

Try cutting out all wheat for about 5 days. Eliminate all white / brown bread. Eat pasta and baked potatoes / oily fish instead. Flavor these dishes with a decent amount of paprika - this is supposed to help with gluten allergies - although it could be just a placebo. Worth a try anyway. I know it's really hard cutting out wheat / gluten but well worth the effort. Also I found that drinking two teaspoons of cider vinegar dissolved in a cup of hot water, as soon as you wake up really helps you go to the toilet properly. That helps rid your system of any fuzzball parasites that should not be there. The other thing that helped me was to drink 750ml water throughout each day with a shot glass of lemon juice, a shot glass of cider vinegar and a shot-glass of Andrew's Health Salts all fully dissolved in it, really did the trick for me.

Yup, been there.....may I suggest you take an allergy test? I found out I was allergic to dairy, gluten after I had a severe virus;lemons, MSG and intolerant to sugar after my second pregnancy. Gluten and sugar intolerance can cause enourmous amounts of symptoms and pain. I am also allergic to ibuprofen, tramadol, aspirin and penicillin and codeine as well now after having had to take it for a year for severe gyn. pain. Mine is a rather restrictive diet but the pain is gone! Good Luck!

Hey everyone. Yes I’m struggling with exactly the same symptoms. However here and there it differs slightly. I have heartburn at least half of everyday. Severe pain when I swallow, to a point I don’t want to eat anymore. Have abdominal pain mostly after eating. And here is where it changes. The pain is right below my chest bone, and then about 2 inches below my bellybutton, exactly where my pants start. I throw up every morning of my life, and sometimes it is bloody. I have a bowl movement between 5 and 12 times a day. I am in pain now, writing this reply. I started with severe abdominal cramps (where my pants start) when I was about 8 years old. Went for all kinds of tests and the doctors couldn't figure it out. It went away for a couple of years and then started the heartburn. That was age 18. Went on loads of different anti-acid meds, which helped a bit. I am personally not a fan of meds, so I stopped it after a while. When I turned 21 I started throwing up from acid. They did an upper GI scope, and said I had a hernia. However I am too young for the surgery. I was back on the meds. Just before my 25th birthday I was hospitalized for 2 weeks with severe abdominal pain and hart-burn. Did the CT scan, The MRI, another upper GI Scope, blood tests, the whole story. Everything came back normal, still saying I have the hernia (and still too young for the opp) however after the MRI, the doctor said I have stomach cancer, but the day later he said he made a mistake. After that whole exercise I promised myself never again, and started to live with the pain. Its three years later and I can’t anymore. I started vomiting every morning as soon as I get up, about 3 months ago. Severe pain every single ******* day. I don’t know what to do anymore. I went to the doctor (another one by the way) two days ago. Did the CT scan (normal) and blood tests (normal). Going in for an upper GI scope and colonoscopy on Wednesday. So hold thumbs. I sometimes even pray that I don’t care what is wrong, just let me know what it is and how we must fix it.
