Hi all,
I had an abortion early Saturday morning of last week (so 1 week ago). My doctor advised me that it would be OK to use tampons since I was so early in my pregnancy and that the rule of nothing in your vagina for two weeks were really for people in their second trimester.
I haven't bled really at all, and the cramps have been controlled with muscle relaxers. I'm clear to take baths now even. Why do I still need to wait an additional week to have sex?
I understand theres that risk of becoming pregnant again so that would be a concern, but that's the only reason I can think of for this rule. My cervix is back to size since I'm allowed to take baths...
I'm just confused. I'm twenty years old and my husband and I can barely pay the bills, so we decided we weren't mature enough to have a child. I don't have any regrets and I feel fine physically and mentally and feel like I'm ready to have sex again. Are there any serious ramifications if I do?
Thanks
