sharp but quick pains in center of my chest - Page 4
Hi all,
I have been experiencing very quick but fairly intense pains in the center of my chest. They seem to be fairly random but will happen somewhere between 30 seconds to a few minutes apart. It feels like a tiny explosion in my chest in the way it is a sudden burst of pain that quickly subsides in about 2 to 4 seconds.
It does not seem to be connected with my breathing or body position.
Any ideas?
If the pain is consistantly present when it starts and remains for days or weeks it could likely be inflammation either muscle or even more likely with duration the soft tissues surrounding the sternum and ribs. If you have normal blood pressure and cholesterol plus being a woman cuts the risk in half regardless of other risk factors. If you don’t have nausea, severe sudden weakness or fatigue or if the pain is local and doesn’t radiate into the shoulder blade, neck jaw or arm… its highly unlikely its a heart attack. Could be heart disease but if its not in your family also unlikely but stressing about it is not good lol stress is a major factor in 6 of the highest leading causes of death.
So I had this, and I figured out what it was.
Symptoms:
Random check pain spikes all over, sometimes soreness, happens randomly. went on for a month+
For me it ended up being allergies. I always had allergies they just never caused chest pain, the doctor said it was inflation around the bones.
If you want to see if thats your issue, try some decongestants and see if the pain stops or minimizes. After 10 months of allergy shots im chest pain free!
Hi, I’m 14 and I have been experiencing chest pains as well. It mostly happens at night. Sometimes I have quick, random sharp pain in the middle of my chest that lasts only a second. Other times, I have pain in my upper left rib area. I get high anxiety every time it happens and have panic attacks when it happens as well. Although I get anxious, I don’t notice being anxious when it starts happening which is why I’m confused. Heart problems run in my family so I just wanted to ask what I should do.
I have been diagnosed with acid reflux some years ago. Lately I have been having center chest pain, burning sensation in chest, and sore breast bone in center. What could be happening?
Every once in a while, I’ll be sitting around and when I breathe in deep, my heart gets a sharp pain. I don’t know what is causing this, so if you have any ideas, please tell me!
