I'm new to running so please bear with me. After running for about 20 mins, and during a cool down lap, I feel sharp pressure in my head like my head is going to explode. After 5 mins it goes away, but I would like to know if i'm overexerting myself or not cooling down enough or if i'm just doing something wrong? Thanks.

ps. If i need to provide more info, please let me know.

I rarely get headaches; maybe a few a year. And as far as I know, my BP is fine.

i'd get the BP checked, also could be sugar issues.

Don't mess around redcard, Get yourself checked out by a GP.
We have nowhere near enough information ie. age, weight, physical condition, how many times you have attempted running the 20 mins. etc. etc. and even then to answer a post like yours, is pure speculation.

Thanks for the responses. I have a doctors appointment today so hopefully i'll know what the issue is.

I'd bet sugar issues but let us know what the doctor says. Your symptoms sound very familiar. Do you get dizzy also?

Do you tend to hold your breath sometimes whilst running? Make sure your breathing is even throughout your run, no holding it in you aren't running a 100m dash ;)

Other than that, whatever everyone else said plus let us know what the GP said.
