Hi, my friend is 22 years old and he is training Brasilian Jiu Jitsu. He told me he is planning to have his first match soon but he is skipping practice. He thinks that his skill is very good but he needs more strength. I would like to know if it is clever to skip practice when he plans his first match.

Hi, it is very difficult to say if your friend has good technique but anyway it is not good to skip practice before match because purpose of it is to get routine. I hope that he has good coach who would correct his mistakes and give him right instructions. Strenght is also very important but after he rules technique.
