hey when I get first break out, I start taking echinacea root three times a day until it is well cleared, If you catch it right when the fisrt bump appears you wont go through the itchy, scaly faze.
It is not contagious, and when the body is run down, stressed by emotional or by contact/ingestion of a irritant/allergie, you hands and feet will start to blister. it only makes sence to build the immunity system. either way echinacea works for me.

I have this problem aswell. It comes when I use water a lot, sometimes in the shower or bath, but mostly when washing up. I bought some special gloves from Boots (British company, but they have a website) which don't irritate my hands.
However they also come when it gets to summer months, might be due to more sweating. Either way the only solution for me was to go to the doctors and get a prescription for dermovate this stuff is strong. And can make ur skin a bit leathery, but it gets rid of the blisters. There are other midler creams you can use, but I find they aren't very effective for me.
O and I've been told it's called Dematitis.

My dr. said eczema. Mine occurs every time I travel and when I've been washing dishes without gloves. I've found a product called, "Super Duty Hand Cure" from Sweet Grass Farms works the best of anything I've tried. It soaks into the hands well and after a few minutes is non greasy. My husband thinks it's perfume and loves the smell.
I also use Orvus to wash my hair, body, laundry, dogs, etc. A teaspoon is enough for an entire load of laundry. Show Paste Shampoo is the same thing with a lower price. Available at Farm & Fleet and farm supply stores.

I suffer from this also. My blisters stay small. Go to a dermatologist! Mine told me this was a type of stress disorder that can affect your hands, feet or both. The more stressed I feel, the worse it itches. This is NOT contagious. I was treated with a steroid shot which worked extremely fast. In addition, I was given Prednisone. Another dermotogist gave me creme, this did not work AT ALL and was a waste of time. The first doctor I went to was a foot doctor and he said they were warts, *what an id**t! They look nothing like warts. GOOD LUCK!

To anyone suffering with these horrid itchy blisters: help is in sight. As some of you have worked out, a breakout of these blisters can be linked to antibacterial soaps etc. I finally realised that mine came when I had been using bleach to clean, or I had travelled to an area with a higher concentration of chlorine in the tapwater.
The skin normally maintains a harmonious balance between the naturally ocurring bacteria and fungi that live on the skin surface. When we destroy the bacteria with antibacterial soaps, or chlorine bleach, the fungi start to flourish and an overgrowth ocurs.
To restore the balance apply pure lavendar oil to the affected area three or four times a day. The itching will quickly subside and the skin will heal.
Avoid antibacterials of any kind;plain soap and hot water is perfect for handwashing. For household cleaning use white vinegar or baking soda instead of bleach or ammonia based cleansers.

I too get blisters filled with a clear water like liquid inside, which really itch when hot (normally soon afer I awake in the morning). Like another person I was prescribed dermovate which helps. I Also soak my hands in potassium magnate, which looks really awful but clears it up in a couple of days.

If the skin is broken use Pinetarsol. Avoid hot water and soaps etc, keep area dry. Try using oatmeal in your bath or as soaks. I have Pompholyx or otherwise known as Dyshidrotic Dermatitis (eczema). It only affects the hands and feet..... Do you trust your docs opinion because your symptoms sound like mine!?lol, Does Eczema (any sort) run in your family?

I also have just started to experience clusters of blisters in my palms and on my fingers ,that just seem to keep getting worse. Guess what! I had just begun to use an antibacterial soap because it seems to be what everyone recommends to fight the winter germs. As the blisters worsen the more soap I use to try to heal. Apparently I now understand that this must be what is making the condition worse. Thanks for the heads up about the soaps, now maybe I will begin to heal and have some peace of mind that this is not going to last forever! It is very painful and I also have been told that this may be caused by nerves.

I have had painfull, itchy blisters on my hands for over a year. The doctors called it contact dermatitus. I would break out when eating any foods that were moldy like cheese, peanuts, corn ect and right before starting my period. Probably caused by a fluctuation in harmones. I would also have a reaction when washing my hands with antibacterial soaps and some cleaning products. Sometimes I would itch or dig at my hands in my sleep and they would wind up with a secondary infection and would swell and become hot. Having my hands in water would aggravate the condition. I would have a reaction to foods within 30 minutes and other products within 24 hrs usually. It would take almost a month to heal and I would break out again. I have finally gotton rid of this and have not had a reoccurance in 3 months. I changed my diet slightly and only buy organic meats and fresh vegtables. I cook with olive oil and virgin coconut oil. I also changed all my cleaning products to products that don't contain petrolum. What really helped me was Natures Sunshine 15 day chinese cleanse for the intestinal tract. I will continue using this product as suggested. For the first time today I ate cheese and have had no reaction at all. However, I will eat cheese and peanuts sparingly for awhile as the memory of the painfull blisters and the condition my hands would wind up in stays in my mind.
I hope this information helps someone.

I've had these on and off for years and so did my father. I pop them with a pin and then put on Absorbine junior twice a day. After about 1 week it goes away and it maybe months and or years before I have another problem.

I have had these for about four years now, my doctor said I contracted it from being around water, due to the fact I did crew rowing at the time it made sense, but now that I have stopped for a couple years now it doesn't quite explain why I still have this rash. Mine first developed under my nails, pealing off the cuticle and pussing from within. I was prescribed this weird anti-fungal creme but in the end it just made it worse. After a year or so I just left them alone ignoring them and they went away. But recently I have been getting them on my fingers, palms, the arch and heel of my foot and sometimes my elbows, they seem to only occur on skin that is very thin or under calluses.
if anyone knows that this is called please email me at _[removed]_, I really would appreciate some info, all of info above has been useful but it varies to much, I need a clean and deffinite answer along with treatment. Thanks
