After a 2 weeks mine is fully under control, seen the GP and they still have no idea but treated me with a topical steroid (Celestone-M Cream) Plus Antibiotics (staphylex 500) plus a heavy oral steroid (Panafcortelone 25mg). Which has made me fair moody! After chatting with the doc it appears that this is a re-occurring thing I have a few links about it.

Dyshidrosis Eczema

I had this on both my hands and they turned into lesions/blisters. However still can't find any photo's that exactly reassemble what I had on my hands. Since now the severity of the condition has passed I totally forgot to take photo's back then.

All I can recommend is go see a Naturopath and find out why your immune system is weak, I believe for my case its just being generally un-healthy. Eating heaps of processed foods, everyone has a trigger. It just seems a shame that all of us have to go to the extent of self diagnosing and searching forums!!!

My GP has said if it appears again I'll have to go to a dermatologist!

I just noticed you replied back Shell and was wondering what the dermatologist said about preventing this kind of Eczema.

Cheers Guys

I have this same exact thing---tiny pin point size blisters on my palms and fingers that ITCH and burn like crazy. I just want to gouge my hands constantly. I haven't been to the derm. yet, but plan to in a couple of weeks (gotta wait for that darn insurance to kick in). Anyway, I've tried almost every OTC cream I can find, soaked my hands in vinegar/water, wear cotton gloves at night with my hands slathered in whatever latest treatment I'm trying....nothing is working. UNTIL TODAY. I was in the baby aisle at my pharmacy b/c I remembered seeing excema creams there from when my babies were little. I found this stuff called TripleCream. I always used Triple Paste on my babies when they had diaper rash. This is the same company, but this is lotion for excema and dry skin. I've been applying it all day and finally have some relief!!!!!! I don't know if it will continue to help over the coming days, but this is the first day in weeks that I haven't flinched when I try to do something with my hands.
It was about $10 bucks, but heck, that's nothing after all the money I've spent on everything else just to have it not work or offer any relief.
I'll probably come back here in a day or two to update how this stuff is working. I'm hopeful!!!!!

Awesome, sounds good, since its a form eczema it must ease the symptoms. It's been a month now from when I started to get these itchy bumps and lesions. The only thing that is left on my hands and feet are blisters and scars from where it had gown and ruined a couple of layers of skin.

Great to hear that you have found relieve, I felt like seriously cutting my hands off!!

I'll keep that Triplecream in mind if it re-occurs

Don't forget to re-post to see how your progress has come along!

Cheers,

Brad

Well I also have these little tiny blisters from time to time on the palms of my hand and sometimes on the sole of my feet ad I have noticed that different things cause these breakouts but the one that is more severe for me is eating ham, there must be some xhemichal specially in really cheap ham that triggers these breakout , I feel like my body is getting rid of toxins and sometimes it happens just on my hands or my hands and feet
ok..... Another thing that causes these things is harsh chemicals like carpet cleaners or moist Lysol wipes so I notice the difference because if it's caused by eating ham I'll get it the next day just a few blisters until eventually my while two hands are full of them and red and swoleen and itchy, but when it is caused by the sprays or wipes I'll just get it where my hand or hnds touched it, mostly on the palms and sometimes it's just the hand I used to clean with but not both
thirdly..... Baby powder or talcum powder has the same effect, for example once I feuded to put some talc inside my running shoes..... Bad idea ..... Or another time I kept wearing latex gloves that have talc inside..... Well these is an instant breakout.....
But the ham is the worse.... Not all ttypes of ham... It's certain kinds but I noticed that the bad quality one or cheap ones ruin my hands
oh yea and it starts with just a few blisters.... In a week the palms are full then it gets really itchy and red and yu can see a yelowish liquid inside of the blisters... The itching process Lasts about two weeks, then they gets smaller and dry this also takes two weeks so after one month of having them the skin starts to peel off, till it's gone so the whole process lasts about 5 to 6 weeks for me....

Dyshidrosis seems to be the best fit for me and my family. My grand mother suffered from the same condition that both my sister and i have...usually only in the summer months. We get small blisters around our fingernails and the sides of our palms of both feet and hands first. For me it is worse if I am hot a lot and may spread to the center of the palms too. After the blisters absorb-I try to leave them alone because they seem to take longer to heal if I try to open them rather than allow them to reabsorb. Once the blisters are gone, the space where the fluid was peels off...pretty soon my fingerprints are completely gone and my hands just peel and peel. They are super sensitive to stinging lotions or creams. I also like the curel lotion and skin trip coconut lotion to smooth the peeling skin and keep it from catching on things...needless to say I need lotion all the time during the summer!

One interesting thing is that all tree of us girls have very clammy hands and feet. I dont know if this is typical of this condition, but I think it is an interesting coincidence...I never have blisters from early fall to late spring. I don't know if this is due to seasonal allergies-which we also have-or if it is the sun or heat, which I have also heard...we have found some things that make it easier to live with-avoiding harsh soaps and keeping hands well lotioned, but everyone needs to find what is best for them. Like othersi had doctors who thought I had fungus all my childhood and would put harsh chemicals on my hands that stung like crazy and never helped, but over the years I have found little tricks like the cold water baths that really do help...try them all until you find what works for you. They are a nusciance, but I don't think they are deadly!

Best of luck to all of you!

It's Brad here again,

Thanks for adding something to this thread, it has sprung me to give an update on how I'm going. I have to agree massively with you Susan, It seems to be a pesky foaming agent called Sodium Laureth Sulfate http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_laureth_sulfate It's in everything from toothpaste, Dish washing liquid, floor cleaner, pump bottle style hand sanitiser, shampoo and conditioner. Normal Soap seems to be ok for me, but it was when I mopped the tiles within 2 days, bam! I had sore toes and they were starting to itch. It was only until I had a look at the ingredients of the cleaner till I seen it had that c**p in their. I Started wearing thongs everywhere and I started drinking a lot of water. It cleared up within 4 days completely. I posted in the past that it may have been a wheat intolerance or something going on in the inside however I got it when I was avoiding wheat. Also never discount the power of water, the ability to flush toxins from your body.

Never freak-out and try and scrub your feet or hands when you have the blisters with a product with the above ingredient. I did this hoping to clean my skin. I used a pump style hand soap. It went nuts, completely off the hook!!!! It got to the point where I was on oral and topical steroids with antibiotics until it finally cleared up.

1. Avoid Sodium Laureth Sulfate at all costs
2. Always drink more then the recommended intake of water a day

hi i currently am having the same problem, i went to the dr and they told it was a mild case of coxsackievirus. Usually clears in 2-10 days. small red spots all over my hands that starts with just one red spot then two then three...then spots becoming more visible on my feet that hurt when i walk, making it completely impossible to walk fast. Some of the red spots on my hands are becoming like tiny blisters. For the itching ive been using ICEPACKS they really work for the relief of the itching and numb the area for a little bit. The dr prescribed me with prednisone and told me to use Serna lotion for the itching but the lotion doesnt seem to help. I hope this helps!

I put a few icepacks in the freezer so when one melts i had another handy...
Thanks

i got the blisters from time to time but very few of them when is dusty or very hot.... i have an allergy to dust that if i touch it my hands gets red and get the blisters... however ive been reading about it cuz i got them again not bad but is itching and i dont want them to get worst specialy during summer time... so what i am doing just for today is cut off all kinds or carbohidrates or empty calories or sugar to help healing and after i wash my hands with normal soap, then i put on some cologne (turkish style as i live in turkey) to keep them dry and out of any infection i might take from touching things....
what i recomend is keep your hands dry for a while until they fade away... it is an allergy disorder  could be related to sweating so the innerskin produce the bumps or exposure to cleansers that if your skin is quite delicate.... it can suffer of blisters.

also the food you will take is very important to help healing... specialy with sugars and wheat and dairy products... try to avoid them for a few days and you will see they fade away.... also i dont recomend oily moistures... cuz they keep ur hands wet or more humid and if is hot then they wont go away....

Hello Everyone,

I want to give you a bit of information about these lovely pin sized blisters on your hands.

My Mother has undergone all of the same treatments from the creams and shote to the extreme meds. to the steroids. Finally we have a true answer. What most if not all of your are suffering from is called Pustular Psoriasis. Its a very uncommon form of Psoriasis with different levels from sudden and severe (acute), long term (chronic), or somewhere in between (subacute).

unlucky for my mother she is suffering form the long term (chronic) and let me just say she is 51 years old and though this skin condition is genetic she has been lucky as it has only become active in the last 2 years.. but it will cause her extreme pain the rest of her life. She also will probably lose her fingernails and possibly her toe nails due to this condition along with the onset pain of Psoriatic arthritis which is in turn caused by the Pustular Psoriasis.

Please check out this website for all the information you need about the treatment of this very painful and sometimes life altering skin condition.

Joy in GA wrote:      try some benadyrl for two , three days, i have been having the same problem since the age of 10 and did al the same you have, found out by trial and error that dandruff shampoo help the itching and actually helps the pustuals go away faster, the creams dont help at all ive tried five doctors and all with the same results. I ve noticed anything to do with flowers is also to blame, flowerseeds, peanut butter etc.... also get to me me but sometimes i forget and pay the price later,, also if ur under alot of stress this brings it on.. just keep some benadryl or anti-histamine handy.

i get them on my feet first. one or two, there tiny but itch like crazy, and if u pop them they just close back up and get worse, so put some drandruff soap on your feet and let them sit for a while, and take you some benadryl before u go to bed, It will take a few days to get rid of them , but you must do this when they come out , if it get full blown out you will suffer the peeling effect for weeks to come, Your skin turns really thin after it goes away and is easily cracked and splits, so tyr this home remedy one time and i think you be pleasantly surprised, beleive me i have had to several times and this works for me ....David

Hi Susan in Arizona
I have some of the same things going on with my has as you. I have been told that I have everything from Dis hydrosis to Herpes. I tell you these dr's have no idea what they are treating. I have been on steriod shots/creams for about 6 years now. The shots have made me gain weight & the cream is so greasy that you can barley stand to put it on.
My hands get so bad that they get infected from time to time. I have done the allergy test where the send you home with this thing taped to your back for 2 days & nothing showed. I've tried to monitor the things that I ate before a breakout & also the things that I touched, but I can't find a common denominator here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone it's brad again fo bounce some ideas of the real throaty behind this... I claimed theories in the past, chemicals and maybe to do with my own immune system. However there seems to be only on e true pattern! Ever since I was 19 I had lived with my parents, all my life I have lived on farms just out of towns. I was never exposed to town water supply, fluorinated, chlorinated and whatever else they put in there! Only until I moved out into a town this when this condition started!! I would drink the tap water and shower myself in it! Looking back it was within months I started to experience the first onset o this condition which I thought was tinea. Anyway this happened on and off for years the condition would have a cycle! Until after a massive relationship meltdown I was forced to retreat to my parents house. Which is not on mains water however they moved property since I was 19! Been here for over 6 months just before I go to Canada! Haven't had an onset yet! So my question is to everyone out there! Is everyone on a mains treated water supply? This is the only common link I can go off!!

Hi I am 19 and i apere to have the same problem i have been suffering from these brake outs for about 4-5 years but have no memory of it happening before that originaly i would only breakout at night but reasontly it has become more common It no longer hurts  and i'm not sure if thats a good thing or not I have tryed to cut out diffrent things to see if they make a diffrance but cant.
It got worse during my exsams last year so that made me beleve i its partly stress related. However since september i seem to have had almost a continuse break out.
I have never come across any one else who was suffering from the same as me, The doctor i consulted had no idea ether.
