I have recently been struck with a likewise ailment (pea size lump proximal to anus) except mine was accompanied with debilitating pain. Just getting up and walking a little bit would hurt so much I'd be nauseous. I went to Dr, got hydrocortisone cream that did nothing but he also suggested stool softener and I went ahead and coupled that with a strong laxative. A few hours after taking the latter two items I was on the bathroom floor spasming in overwhelming pain for 20 or so mins but then finally had a BM. I crawled back to the couch and before long had to suddenly go again. This time, however, I could move much much easier and able to go right away with only moderate pain. Another bathroom visit and I'm about 80% better, which is a Godsend after these last few days. It seems there is a huge variance of experience being related on here but no one quite like me so for what it worth people: empty your bowels! Even if its the last thing you want to do...its worth it!

thank you for your description. Yours comes the closest to describing what i'm going through. Esp the part where you say it came on suddenly and after a couple of days, started to let up. It is marble sized, feels fairly mobile --- not rigid or hard. I got good and scared like the rest of the people here ---- "oh God, i'm going to die..... etc..." Now i guess i'll write it off as one of those hematomas or cysts or what have you...... don't think it's fatal anymore, so thank you for making me feel more relaxed. Still, it seems so odd to live for 50 years, never having had this problem, then -- boom, overnight (seemingly) there it is. I can say that (in my case) constipation is a likely culprit. I take some "binding" meds and have not had a healthy GI tract in years --- always bound up, end up eliminating "deer pellets" instead of going normally. I feel bad that i've sort of "caused" this problem myself. Yeesh, it really IS always something, isn't it ? You've done a good and kind thing, though, in relieving my mind. I was genuinely good and scared --- thinking i was gonna keel over and die at any time ---- after having suffered and wasted away, etc...... God bless you for giving me peace of mind. Now let's just hope that you're right !!! thinking logically, i don't think it could be anything else. A possible abscess, cyst, internal hemorrhoid or hematoma --- but pretty likely NOT cancer. pardon the rambling on..... it's been a tense couple of days for me and i seem to be venting. Hope everyone finds that its a minor, "passing' thing (pun intended, bad, i know :)

i'm relieved to discover i am not the only one with this problem mine just sought of popped out 2 days ago and its a really painful pea sized bump.its painful when pressured and also when whipping but no blood. i was worried it might be anal cancer since i read one of the causes is smoking and i do smoke. its the second time i'm having it and if there is a solution to stop it from re-occurring again it would greatly help. its giving me a hard time when sitting at work and even while i'm asleep.

Okay I know prevention is the best medicine I have not been to. To a position but I believe I have a large hemorrhoid inside. And now there's a small round thing not a score thank the Lord. Lucky perfectly round E M&m sized bump on the outside around my anus hole what the hell is that LOL I've never had any problems with anything before and anus Virgin . I hate going to the doctor LOL thank you
