That is not news for me to be constipated. That used to happen before and somehow I get used on this. Anyway, last night something happened to me and I need your suggestions. For two days before I was constipated but last night, I had sharp abdominal pain and cramping together with rectal pain. I am so worried and I need to know if I should visit my doctor.

Constipation commonly refers to infrequent bowel movements and many people know about this term. Symptoms of constipation can also include passing stool, that is hard and dry, needing to strain to have a bowel movement. When this happens to you, you might have feeling a sense of incomplete evacuation, or sometimes feeling pain when passing stool. You may be constipated if you have three bowel movements or fewer in a week and not as some people think once a day. Everyone is different and your body finds its own normal number of bowel movements, so if you do not have it every day, it does not mean you are constipated. You could help yourself when this happen by eating more fiber. Fiber helps form soft, bulky stool and is found in vegetables and fruits. If you really have problems with constipation accompanied with these symptoms you said, you might check with your doctor. Usually blood in the stool, abdominal pain and diarrhea are signs there is something wrong. Make an appointment and your doctor will check you and help about this condition.
