Hi, my name is jack and I'm having this weird sensation that something is stuck in my throat (where my right tonsil is), it doesn't hurt at all but its annoying, like when I swallow I feel like there's something stuck there So I stood in front of the mirror and checked if there's anything unusual on my right tonsil but there was nothing and it looked alright not swollen nor enlarged just fine And sometimes I get this discomfort feeling (only on the right side of the throat) when I rotate my head to the left, so I have to move my head around to fix it (feels like it gets dislocated) I smoke about 5-8 cigarettes a day sometimes more, and I've had panic attacks a lot this year (when ever I feel strange or spot something unusual on my body) So please help me!! Thanx in advance.

While it may not involve head turning, there could be various potential causes for this sensation, such as:

(1) Throat infection or inflammation: An infection or inflammation in the throat can cause discomfort or the feeling of something being stuck.

(2) Tonsil stones: These are small, hard deposits that can form in the crevices of the tonsils and may cause discomfort.

(3) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD): Acid reflux can cause irritation in the throat and a sensation of something being stuck.

(4) Allergies: Allergic reactions can lead to throat swelling or a feeling of something being trapped.

(5) Foreign object: Sometimes, a small foreign object might inadvertently get stuck in the throat.

(6) Throat muscle spasm: In some cases, muscle spasms in the throat can create an uncomfortable feeling.

Since it involves your throat, it's crucial to see a healthcare professional, such as an Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) specialist or a primary care physician, for a thorough evaluation. They can examine your throat, possibly use a scope to get a better view, and determine the cause of your discomfort. Based on the diagnosis, they can recommend appropriate treatment options.
