I also have this. It comes and goes and lasts for anywhere from a couple days to weeks. I am not sure what it is either. Whatever it is, I have had some success with a steroid cream. Now I’m pregnant and can’t use steroids and I’m experimenting with 100% tea tree oil (can purchase at Trader Joe’s). It appears to be helping. I dip a q-tip in the oil and rub it on the inch or so area affected after showering and before bed and then try to let it air out for a few mins before putting underwear on.

It’s actuallly because when we are in the shower we don’t tend to wash the soap completely off of our bodies so when the soap dries up in our crack it irritates the skin leaving a slit or the cracked area your best bet is to rub some Vaseline on it . Keep it lubricated with some sort of oil and wash the soap it can happen behind our ear as well

I get this once in a while after I’ve been swimming. I had it one time when I visited the doctor. She called it fissure. But most importantly, she said to use something for diaper rash. Like a barrier. Not neosporin or cream. It works like a charm every time. Showering after swimming and drying thorough also keeps it away.

I agree with it not being cool to just make random comments. However, people should have some commonsense when taking "medical" advice from anyone on this site....

I get the same thing. You have to keep it clean and dry and you have to use a ointment like a&d and that should clear it up.
