Hi All, Just after a little advice please, About a month or so ago, i started having a trickle feeling going down my throat, sometimes coming back up, and when i swallow (and sometimes happens when im not swallowing) i have a pain in the upper right side of my back. I have been to doctors and am on Lanzoprozole 30mg twice daily, it seems to of helped a little but still having it. The doctor thinks it may be a stomach ulcer, but would that explain the feeling in my throat and osopogous?

Regards..

Hi,

Since your doctor thinks you may be having a stomach ulcer it is best to check this diagnosis because left untreated sometimes can cause serious complications. Usually the cause of stomach ulcer is the destruction of the gastric lining of the stomach by hydrochloric acid.

The cause of the stomach ulcer, but as well as some other conditions, is usually Helicobacter pylori, bacterium which can be transmitted from one person to another through contaminated food and water.

It is best to treat it with antibiotics so you should ask your doctor about this as well. Also you should avoid stressful situations because this can only worsen your condition. And if you are smoker try to cut down a little bit because this also only contributes bad symptoms.
