Spotting/Brown Discharge and Cramps 1 week before Period

Hello, I have the same situation and i cant seem to figure out why.
Im 17 years old and Ive been on aleese since nov 2011, and its now march 2012. every single period i have had, last for 2 weeks. I dont know if its spotting, but for a week, i will have brown discharge, then for the next week (no break inbetween) it will slowly go into blood. (before birth control, ive always had my period for exactly one week, and was regular). i dont know what or why this is.. and i cant seem to find a soloutiong. its very annoying. i know I am not pregnant, because I do not have sex and havent had sex in over a year.

Omg i am the same way!!! I've been on the pill for a year and a half now and i have never experienced brown discharge! i don't start my placebo pills until nxt wk! so idk y i have this brown.discharge before my period and being on the pill. i also noticed a lil tiny bit of cramping and my ovaries hurt a lil like if ima get my period. i know i can't be prego cuz i.never missed a pill and every time me and my bf have sex we use a condom. so what'd going on????

First things first, I'm having these same issues, but I am on Yaz.

I'm eighteen years old, and had sex about 2-2& half weeks ago. I'm not very good at remembering the pill, so I take it at different times, never the same time. Me and my now ex boyfriend were having sex, and he did.. do stuff inside, but I thought it'd be no big deal, because I've been better at taking the pill every day, right about the same time.

I've had scares before, but it was nothing anything ever like this. I have the brown spotting, and it looked like I got my period, but when I put a tampon in& went to change it, it was just the brown spotting still. I have been spotting for about 4-5 days now, and everytime it seems to "go away", it comes right back after I pee again.

I'm stressed often though, so I'm thinking that's also playing a big role in this; but this is one of my main stressers at this point. I have a Gyno appointment coming up, later this week, but I don't know what to ask, or to say. That was the last time I had sex. Is there any specific/direct questions I should ask?

Please help/answer! I'm not sure what to ask!

Hey i went to the gyno after i posted my comment and she told me i was spotting because of stress. On the pill or not ur stress can mess u up badly!! amd ever since I've been okay, my cycle is back to normal :)... oh and my brown discharge was pretty heavy the gyno said if it werent for the pill it would been my period. i bled for two weeks :(... but good luck I'm sure ur fine :)

Sometimes this can happen because of a condition called endometriosis. I have it, and I occasionally have breakthrough bleeding of the old blood that didn;t expel during my normal period. The way we knew something was not right was the fact that my cramping was extremely painful. Painful enough to have my doctor prescribe narcotic pain killers to help aleviate the pain. I had 3 doctors dismiss my symptoms before my new OB/GYN found out that I had endometrosis and performed te surgery needed to remove the lesions caused by it, after this, my periods returned to normal for a while, but it reoccurs after some time. If you have break through bleeding, talk to your doctor about the possibilty of having endometriosis. If not treated , it can cause infertility.

I was on the mini pill for a few months and got off it July 1st and had the withdrawal bleeding the next day. I got back on it the 28th I believe and got my period August 22nd. I don't normally get bad cramps on the pill. On the mini pill you could have irregular periods, light periods, no period or a late period. But Sept 2nd I started getting very bad cramps and a brownish discharge that is still continuing today (4 days later). There is no way I could be pregnant, my boyfriend and I always use protection and I never miss a pill. I may have endometriosis because it runs in my family a lot but it was never actually diagnosed. I normally get my period the 21st every month and have a sort of light period but the one in August was delayed 1 day. Could this just be from ovulation and endometriosis, stress, or an actual period? I have no idea what could be wrong, these cramps are awful!

Hi there, i been having a bleeding (i think) for almost 5days... its brownish..and sometimes reddish... i never take any birth control pills and i long time never do sex... my sex history was in 2009/2010..now 2013... y is this happen? I have taken a pap smear test...n this tuesday will be the result...n im so scared.. not just spotting... im do afraid if its (std)..god!!! Please help me...:'(

I'm on a generic of Yaz, and have been on it for the past 2 years. Never had spotting/discharge until last month. It scared me because it's never happened before and thought it could be implantation bleeding. The spotting only occurred while wiping after the first full blown discharge. However, I did do a strenuous workout (which I haven't done in a while). I got my period maybe a day or two late, and it was heavier than normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Istoped takeing my pill this month and im soppost to qet my period in 1 week and im spotting brown ? Am i preqnate ? Someone help please

I have the same problem had unprotected sex for the last couple days been on the Alysena 28 pill for a month and brown clearing discharge started today not due for period for 2 weeks and I'm consistent with the pill and the time never miss a day sometime 20 minutes late on the time very rare tho just when I sleep In I'm 22

I have been on the pill for 10 years and 2 days after I ended my period, 12 days ago I had sex without a condom but he pulled out. I am having he brownish/pinkish spotting and dull cramping on and off since last night, I am supposed to start next week. Prior to this whole incident I was thinking I was having a hormonal imbalnce? Pregnant? Thoughts? Help, I cannot get pregnant! I have taken 2 tests that are negative but I am afraid they are just too early to detect HCG?

I'm 19. I'm not on the pill Bc we use the pull out method. But we had an accident on my week of supposed ovulation so I took the morning after pill the next day. 10 days later I started having brown discharge. It started off as light brown and now it's like reddish brown. And I'm also having cramps on my right side and like bloating. HELP

I've been having this brown discharge and cramps recently too, I have been taking my pill packs back to back as I get very bad cramps when on my break period and find it extremely hard to concentrate, i frequently only rely on the pill as protection when with my boyfriend, is the discharge just a result of not having a break between packs or should I be worried about something more serious? im on yasminelle which is only a 21 day pack
