About 2-3 times per week when i urinate I het a stinging sensation coming from the inside of my penis. Sometimes it lasts 30-45seconds and sometimes just 5-10 sec.....im not sure what this COULD be. Its not a burning sensation....its a sharp sting. I don't think its kidney stones...cause my side doesn't hurt. I go to the doc this Monday.....but I kinda need to know where to start. Any suggestions?

You may have a urinary tract infection. It's a good thing you'll be going to the doctor. You should be able to get treated.

Since BedsonTrudeau has already answered your question I hope that you were happy with his info. I would just like to add that you will probably be prescribed antibiotics such as Amoxicillin and Bactrim (these are the most common ones) and your doctor will advise you to drink the entire course of antibiotics because if you stop as soon as the symptoms of UTI are gone (this usually happens after two or three days) you are risking that UTI comes back.
Also you should increase amount of the fluids you are taking because this will help you. Also you could try to drink herbal teas (red and green) because the plain water becomes very boring after few days.
