Just happened to me today! My left index finger, turned black and blue in the middle on the back at the joint! Went numb and keeps going numb then not numb! It is freaking me out!

It could be Raynaud's. I have Raynaud's and had an incident a month ago where my left thumb went numb and tingly. I looked down and it was black. I was told by my PCP to go to the ER. That's when I found out it was from my Raynaud's. The blood vessels constricted so much that they burst, that's what the ER doc told me.
