It's been 2 months now since this lump appeared. I have considered the fact that it may be penile cancer but I'm not fully convinced. The lump apeared within a 1 hour period and comes and goes. I'll explain:
When i don't masterbate or have sex my penis seems to normalize. I still have a small ring around my penis that is pronounced just under the head, but it's alot more normal looking.
Right after I masterbate the strange lump apears and is very pronounced. Mainly under the head on the left side.
I have taken antibiotics to see if that would help but it did not. My doctor proscribed Zyrtec, or Zantac, or something like that for allergies and said that it might be that. I don't think so but maybe I'll take it and see what happens.

Seems like you've already had a doctor's opinion once, and he told you not to be concerned.
If you want, you can seek out another doctor for a second opinion. Don't be surprised if you have a similar opinion expressed. To get a more learned opinion, you'll need to go to a urologist, and he will require a referal to get an appointment most likely.
Also, we normally don't allow photos on this board.
Perhaps the links to these sites will help you describe the lump, but it'll probably take a real doctor's examination to confirm what you have.

Thank you Kirk... Yes I have had a doctors opinion and he suggested that I get a urine test done by a urologist. I haven't done that yet because I don't have insurance and I don't want this to be a pre-existing condition. I expect to get insured in about 3 months. I figure that I'll wait until then.
The pictures that were posted look nothing like what I have... Just an FYI.
I'll repost on here once I've had a urinalysis completed. I bet that most of the people that have posted have something similar to what i have.

Hi everyone.
I have kinda the same thing as you talk about, but i think mine looks like the second picture. It is on the left side, under the penis head, on the shaft so to speak. Under the foreskin. It looks like a vein that is always hard. I had it for a couple of days now and it came out of nowhere, boom and it was just there. It getting smaller slowly and seems to go away. I actually massage the lump carefully (as it hurts if squeeze it a bit hard) a bit every day. Dont know if that massaging helps lol, but its about to dissapear.
Before it goes away i do need to get a doctors opinion (urologist) just so i know if it happens again. I hoped to find the answer here on your forum as i saw this thread wich looks like what i have. But i guess your in the blue too. Still a bit scared about this little lump and i dont know why im pushing the doctors appointment lol, but im that kind of guy that always thinks things will work itself out. :-)

This is a cord like swelling just below the head of the penis and can be quite alarming when it's first discovered. There are several drainage systems in the body - some carrying blood back, ie. veins, and there's another system called lymphs, where fluid from the tissues is carried back in lymph channels. These can sometimes block up and solidify, giving the swelling you see here in the picture. It usually occurs after vigorous sex or masturbation. hi i think i may have the same problem but i only just found this, this very morning, it's a squishy patch about 3cm squared. it nearly makes my penis look deformed, it's not painful but it is quite worrying if anyone has any idea what i'm talking about please reply

i was looking around and found out that it is most probably nothink in the srticle i read it said the penis often as lumps and bumps that look strange it might go away or it might be there forever also it could be were u have damaged a vain ect from masturbating to hard/ agresive the chance of it been cancer is very small hope it help

I think I may have found the answer for you guys. My friend has got the same thing... all the symptoms are very similar.
All the study cases that I have read online have all had the similar symptoms... and the big lump has always appeared for all the patients right after vigorous sexual intercourse or masturbation.
The disease is called (penile) Mondor's disease.
Apparently, this disease is pretty rare, so maybe this is why those of you that have been to the doctor's haven't been able to diagnose it. Urologists, I believe, are the ones to diagnose this after an ultrasound and other tests.
I will link you to all the websites that I have visited and researched, so you can read the studies and information yourself and take a look at the pictures and try to compare.
I hope this might have helped you guys, but you'll never really know if you don't visit a urologist.

OK, ok... I've been posting on this website and on this topic for over 6 months now. I First noticed this lump on Nov. 4th of 2008 and if you've been reading I've been to the doctors about it and he never gave me a satisfactory answer.
Well, of course I was freaking out for months on end not sure if this would ever go away. Well, I'll be real frank, I used to masterbate often and the lump would always get bigger after I masterbated of course. So I decided that I would stop masterbating for a period 3 weeks) and also did a body cleanse (3 weeks of eating just veggies, fruits and basically cleaning out my liver and body).
After this I have not seen the lump again. It was never sore but it just looked ugly and deformed. So now I feel much better because it's gone. YEAH!!! Let me know if you have questions regarding the cleanse I did. It was pretty strict, and I'm not saying that it was the cleanse that did it all but hey the lump is gone!

i been looking around for a wile and i think i found out what it is its from stressing the penis from to much "fun" so limit to how much "fun" u have and hopefully it should go away may take some time though hope i can help

the other day my GF was tossing me off and she got slightly vigorous and my penis bled quite badly, at later inspection i realized there was a small pinprick cut in the small strand of skin that connects the foreskin to the head of the penis, and later on one of these bumps you describe appeared just below that little cut, it has been just over a week now and my penis still bleeds if i masturbate with the foreskin back. any advice?
