Thank You - A lot of what you said makes sense because I am feeling / experiencing everything you said especially the part concerning dreams etc....I'm wondering if it is related to my meditation exercises which I have begun several years ago around the same time I started having these symptoms r elated to hot spicy foods...

I can definelty understand everyones situation. I am 42 years old and this sweating issue started with me probably about 4-6years ago. It seem to have gotten worse and very iritating. I wish someone could find the a way to stoop this. Anything that is tangy or spicy such as, ketchup, mustard, ranch sause, steak sauce, pizza and etc causes me to sweat and my friends and family also find it strange yet also hilarious. If someone find out anything that will help or stop this please share. I also never thought that so many other people are having the same issue. I believe that distilled vinegar may be my issue cause all of those have that ingredient in them. SOME ONE HELP

I'm kind of glad that I'm not alone in this situation. Whenever I watch a program on TV that features chilies i start to sweat a lot on the top of my head. Even talking about hot chilies is enough to start me off. it is so strange. of course it's just as bad when I actually eat hot food, which I grew up with and love. It's a bit disconcerting when I go out with my girlfriend or friends and eat hot food. it's embarrassing in restaurants.

I also have reactions from just thinking about the trigger foods. That is a part I do not understand. It goes back as far as childhood, when I recall having some sweat ( especially under the lower lip) just thinking about the fruit flavored Life Savers or Charms. ( It is happening now as I type.) Ah yes, the power of suggestion. My trigger foods are: Ketchup ( especially Heinz), any bottled salad dressing, anything with distilled vinegar, raspberries ( I keep them to a small amt.), sometimes strawberries, oranges, kiwi ( never eat it anymore...........sweating lasted for hours);, and, of course anything with hot sauce, chilis, etc.

There must be some way to control this rather embarrasing problem. My problem just started about a year or so ago. I'm 60 now ! All my life I've been able to eat "hot" spicy food with very little, if any, sweating. Now I have to wipe my brow after almost every ofter bite I take,....and some times the food is barely spicy at all !!
