I am currently taking Yasmin. I finished the pack but am not taking the sugar pills. I missed one pill in my second week and 2 pills in a row in my 3rd week. I had breakthrough bleeding that lasted 8 days. I never used any back up method. I have had a urin test done that came up neg and a blood test done that came up neg. This is my first time taking any kind of BC and my first month. I started my period on the 8th as I said, breakthrough bleeding and I am supposed to start a new pack on Sunday but instead I am going to start the patch. Will I have to wait the 7 days before I can have unprotected sex? Or is it okay since I am rolling from one form to another but because they are relativity close to the same thing will I still be protected?
