For the past several (as long as I can remember, actually), my left foot stays constantly swollen. I've seen my doctor, been to a foot specialists and have had xrays and an MRI done. All of the tests came back fine. The foot specialist said I had a lot of "play" in my ankles, meaning they move around a lot more than most people's. This could be somewhat of the problem. I tend to let my ankles fall in some when I'm standing. The swelling has gotten worse recently. It's hard for me to wear any type of strappy sandals because the top of my foot protrudes out. The only swelling is on the very top of my foot (not toes or ankles). It looks like a patch of fat on top that gets worse by the end of the day. I've never suffered any type of injurys to my legs or feet. What's going on? Oh, and it's just one foot. My right foot is perfectly fine.
