Hey guys I'm new on here, about a month ago I discovered a swollen lymph node right under my jaw on the left side of my neck. And ever since then I've been worried sick. I do have an abscess in my tooth and I believe that is the reason why it is swollen. But I keep thinking it is something else that could be wrong like cancer. I've read that so many people have had cancer without any other symptoms than a swollen node. And that little signs could be cancer and I have been dreading every little sign. Like an itchy neck. An I blowing this out of proportion. My mom who is a nurse says it is most definitely because of my abscess which is an infection but I guess I'm just afraid I have a cancer death sentences. The node is about 1.2cm it used to be about 4cm. I am 19 years old. What is bothering me the most is that after it has gone down in size so dramatically my neck still looks lopsided and swollen and has a big lump on it from the lymph node. I have no other symptoms or swollen nodes. Am I blowing this out I proportion? Am I going to be okay?
